I fixed it! Instead of 20 minutes I unplugged it for about 4 hours and everything is working fine. It's a moody ol' girl.

Power interruption and now my plug,n go seems to be frozen. Cannot set time or clear anything. Screen reads 9.80 or something close

I had a similar problem with my Bosch wall oven after a recent power outage-restart-outage-restart cycle that lasted only about thirty seconds altogether. The difference would be in that while I could reset all the things like day, date, time, etc., the oven would arbitrarily go off on its own and make up the day, time, date, year, etc., with no apparent correspondance to reality. Here's what I did: I completely shut down the oven at its outside breaker (you will need to do whatever it takes to remove the power from the 'plug-n-go'). I waited five or ten minutes before turning the power back on and resetting the various items. Two days have passed and there have been no more mind-of-its-own excursions into another time zone. Problem solved, unless/until another power outage cycle comes along. Hope this helps, or at least gives you an idea about where to start.

Why are we more dependent on power quality sensitive services?

Electrical power users are these days more concerned about quality and reliability of power supplies for critical operations. These concerns were to the fore in the recent power outages due to storms. Modern electronic equipment is also susceptible to voltage sags, swells, transients and distortion prevalent on many power circuits. Industrial sites experience more serious disturbances than commercial and residential sites, due to the negative impact of machinery and equipment on load power quality.

After a major Thunderstorm dryer stopped turning on at all. No sound, no motor, nothing. It was working perfectly just before the power outage, but after that nothing. It was off during the storm and...

Check your breakers in the Main Panel for your electrical control of your house.
Make sure you are getting 220Volts at the receptical, and where the wire connects to the back of the dryer, sometimes the wire will burn loose at that connection

D-link514 wont turn on after storm power outage

The cause is the power-supply "brick" to the DI-514.
It has failed.

So, it's time to buy a "surge-suppressor" (sometimes integrated into a high-end power-bar) and to buy a new router, for less than $80, in total, to be protected and be ready for the "next" storm.

Dishwasher was scrolling through some sort of menu and beeping

Looks like the electronic micro controller fault.Due to power surge this could have resulted. It is bad luck!

Coleman Powermate only puts out 110V

If you haven't seen it yet, here is a page that may help with a manual or parts list.

This problem sounds kind of bad, generators don't do well when the engine stops under load.
Start by checking the circuit breakers in the distribution box (outlet panel) - you need ot do this with an ohm meter. After that check the power windings of the stator with the ohm meter, be sure to check between the 2 windings (should be open), and from each one to ground with the winding isolated.
Whining, a burning varnish smell, and breakers that trip all the time are indicators of long term overload problems. This could happen if you had most of the load on one winding for a significant amount of time, or if the one winding mostly powered motor-like loads with high startup currents.

You may want to look at this answer I posted some time ago.

Carl

Check the print processor settings in the advanced tab of the printer properties. This should be set to Winprint, and not anything else.
