AM 110 washing machine - light not coming on and would not respond to programme
I was in mid cycle when the light went off. My clothes were have washed. Left the machine for a couple of hours then tried to select another programme. The power light does not come on and my machine is not responding to anything at all.

It sounds to me like you may have blown a fuse or tripped a breaker. If your washer uses a regular 110 volt outlet, you can try plugging in another electrical appliance of some sort to see if there is any power in the outlet. The only other possibility I can think of right now is possibly a fuse inside the machine.

Have you checked the pump filter, and or that the pump is actually working. if it spins o/k with no water in, then I would suspect a draining problem.
If filter clean and pump o/k, then it could be a control module fault. if this were the case, then it would probably be wiser to purchase a new washer.
Hope this is of some help to you.
This means that the machine will not respond to any controls and will have to finish its current programme completely before it will respond to any operator controls again. It is very useful to stop anyone changing the programme mid cycle. It also means that if the power is cut or you have a brown out that the machine will just carryon where it left off and finish the programme. To unlock the Control Locked feature: Press and hold the End Of Cycle Signal button for 3 seconds to turn this feature off. When the machine is running and Control Locked light is on, the machine can be stopped by pressing the Pause/Cancel button, but cannot be restarted until the control is unlocked.
You may find that the internal filter is blocked & that by stopping and starting the machine you are giving it extra time to complete the drain cycle. The filter is located at the bottom rear of the machine & is secured by a large hose clip to the bottom of the drum. Try filling the washer with no clothes in & then switching to the drain programme to see if the water drains properly
Erratic behaviour in wash programmes can often be due to clogging of the path between the tub and the pressure sensor which senses the water level in the tub. Clogging can result in water level being incorrectly detected (may read as too high or too low) for the stage of programme that is executing, which can result in a halt of the programme.
