Hi, two things you can try. 1 Use a different burning program, there are many free ones on the web, I use Ashampoo Burning Studio 6 Free .If that does not work with your disks 2 Try a different brand of disk. Hope this helps you. Regards Bill
right click on the drive.... go to properties... under tab recording, remove tick "enable CD recording on this drive" and press apply... after that tick "enable CD recording on this drive" and press OK. It should work.
if the device is being recognised, As D:- Or E:- et,c.
right click on the device, and select options from there.
such as open/explore et,c.
If the disk has been written to in any way shape or form, even the smallest file. then the disk being read will be classed as empty.
try a different CD Disk, And try re-installing your CD writing software.
Hope this helps mike @ Compurepair.
OK YOUR DVD DRIVE HAS A LENS PROBLEM
BRING A DVD CLEANER DISK AND ADD LENS CLEANING FLUID TO THE CD S READING SURFACE AND INSERT THE DISK TO THE DRIVE AND WAIT FOR 1 MINUTE THEN EJECT AND REPEAT THE PROCEDURE WITHOUT LENS CLEANING FLUID
AND OF COURSE THE CD SHOULD BE DRIED OFF BEFORE YU INSERT IT TO THE DVD ROM
