Troubleshooting DeWalt DW567 Type 1 1" SDS Rotary Hammer

I need to know how to troubleshoot the above rotary hammer. The cord is plugged in and there is power to the trigger switch. When the trigger is pulled, there is no response. Using a VOA meter, how do I determine if the problem is the 324556-49 switch or the 324552-02 module or perhaps some other electrical component. DeWalt customer assistance was of no help. Please note that that the "Product" below is different from the "Subject" above. I previously tried to submit this request, but kept getting the message to "enter a valid product". After a couple of emails to FixYa support, I was instructed to choose any DeWalt product for the "Product" field and then click "Get Assistance". Thank you in advance for your prompt reply and assistance.

Thank you for your response. Due to my having a senior moment, I neglected to check the brushes. They are worn out. I will order a set and install. The fields checked OK as did the segments on the armature. Upon receipt of the brushes, I will install and report back. Thank you for jump starting my mind.

Recieved the brushes and installed. That solved the problem. Thank you again for jumpstarting my brain.

Hope to help but may need more info what problem are you having is it just not working?
did it just stop one day?
did it smoke? or splutter then stop?
have you checked all the segments (copper strips that the brushes rub against) on the armature are still on.
Are your brushes ok?
One problem I used to get a lot on that model is the field, the field is the part that sits around the armature with all copper windings on this sits inside a plastic case called a "jam pot" if you look at the field you will see the windins of copper are connected to 4 terminals, picture the field as 2 halfs top and bottom 2 terminals on top 2 on the bottom now the top 2 terminals should have continuerty through because they are wound together and the same with the bottom so if you get cont through the top and bottom the field is ok if not the field is faulty.
Hope this helps. Sean

My hammer drill is stuck on hammer mode. How do I fix that

first consider whether repair is worthwhile. !!! many powertools are made produced under an marketing technical condition to exchange or in return. a great service and no unexpected again rest on a job !!
A average little rotary hammer is in much options not worth because of the materials that not are made for long-term use, but If you have a real demolition hammer its more worth to look for repair because of the much better materials that where used for it it, s more made for prolonged work. a repair for a middle size rotary hammer or demolition hammer are very important problems that caused most time by the leak in front of the spindle sleeve , a fixed number of working hours and example in this whats the most caused problem by this kind of machines is the leakage of the
BEAT PIECE o -ring or oil seal in front of spindle sleeve replace beat piece allways and oring or seal beat piece is the name that Dewalt used for the part , there are several names beware of misunderstanding , the plunger that is moving in a cilinder that grabs into a o-ring near after the beat piece also that - o-ring must replaced most times its visibly worn because of the need that the hammer can runs free if its o-ring which grips the plunger when there is no pressure resistance of an object is to break down should not move the plunger then there is also no leakage most brands have or have had before service kits(Hitachi not more for rotarys in these days ) , but only the more heavy powertools are worth to do a repare but sometimes by modern light weight Chinese parts made rotary hammers (also some models of Makita for example ) its weak material and most times not worth for any repair , but brands like DUSS or HILTY are very heavy quality products that are allways particularly useful for repair most always the German brand DUSS is the real Mercedes under the powertools .and still after long time parts are simply to get for tools that where made in the early sixties look at this nice tools

How do I check a cord on my Bosch rotary hammar drill

You didn't mention if you're not getting power or if the cord has cracks or breaks.
You could take the case off the rotary hammer drill and inspect to see if you have a loose or broken wire. Cords are the easiest to replace. you can even make your own, so if you want a longer cord like a 25ft with a twist lock. Just make sure you get the correct cable SOOW or SJOW cord and a twist lock plug. You don't need a twist lock but it's great to have on a job site, so you don't get unplugged.

Hilti TE 17. Hammer doesnt work. Rotary does.

Most likely the O-rings are worn - tool has no compression to move the hammers inside.
Less likely: the connecting rod for the piston is broken so piston isn't moving - or 2nd hammer is broken into pieces.
I would open it up & check the orings first

I have a dewalt 18v cordless hammer drill but for some reason while drilling the drill does not spin as fast as it used to batteries are fine just the drill any ideas

depends on where you drilling- wood - no hammer option needed- fast, metal- no hammer option needed- also fast, but it is concrete- sorry- hammer option needed so it will always drill slower, and drain your batteries way faster (have a spare one ready).Speaking about drilling - don't drill for too long with no breaks to cool them down, always keep an eye on gun's and battery's temperature- even if it is new Lithium NANO, do not let them overheat.
BTW- what model is yours? Is It SDS hammer drill sort of DC212KL?

I have a Skill 717, too. It has a hex shank. Here are a couple places that I've located that carry (some) parts:
www.icscuttingtools.com (pages 155 & 157)
www.bamanufacturing.com/page_15.htm

also try:
