Hi Anya,

First of all, as far as your ISP is concerned, are you using an always-on connection that doesn't require a username/password (such as basic digital cable) or are you using a PPPoE connection that does require authentication (such as DSL)?

If you're using basic cable, you should be able to bypass the setup and configure it manually if nothing else. Let me know.

Ben

Check your IP Address, Maybe its conflict with other device.

My advice to turn it automatically.

Installing your Belkin router is still possible even without using its Setup CD. You can set up your router manually through the web-based setup page of the router.

Perform the steps below to set up your Belkin router through the web-based setup page.

Connecting Seagate Backup Plus Desktop drive (STCA3000101) to Belkin N750 wireless router.

Usually you don't need to setup any additional settings or creating new users on the Belkin router to access an USB HDD attached to it, if you used the Belkin Router Manager to set it up.

The Seagate drive you are using have it's own power supply, so that should not be a problem. Also the accepted formats are FAT16, FAT32 and NTFS formatted HDD.

You can try to set it up again using the manager. This is the user manual for your router, if it helps:

If you still can't get it working, let me know and we will try to find another solution.

Hii there I have bought a Belkin wireless Router G F5D7234-4-H V5. Im from Bangladesh and using windows 7 professional as OS. Several times I have tried to setup using the web browser format which was...

Make sure the you are wired correctly. 1) The incoming cable/dsl to the modem. 2) The modem to the WAN (Internet) RJ 45 connection on the router. 3) The router wired to the computer during set up. You can not set up the router unless you are hard wired to the router.
Then try connecting using the IP address Belkin sent you. Probably 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1. Use Internet Explorer.

How do i connect a belkin router without the software??

You may manually configure your Belkin router. Make sure that the computer is connected to the ethernet port (gray) of the router. Then the modem is connected to the WAN port (yellow) of the router.

On your computer's browser, type: 192.168.2.1

It will prompt you for your password. By default, just leave the password field blank.

Once in the setup page of the router, go to Internet/WAN tab. Under connection type, you need to select the type of your connection depending on your ISP. If you are not sure, contact your ISP and ask them if they use PPPoE (you will also need the username and password for your connection) or DHCP, Static, etc.

Then next and then apply changes. Once the router has the correct settings from your ISP, you should be able to get online.

For the wireless settings, just go to Wireless in the setup page and you may change your settings like enabling wireless security.

I hope this helps!

Setting of Belkin Wireless Router Connection

Are you trying to set up the router.
You can do it manually without the CD.
Make sure that your computer is able to go online through the modem.
If your computer is not able to go online through the modem then you will need to call ISP first.
If your computer is able to go online through the modem
then you need to connect the computer to the router and the modem to the router.
open the set up page of the router and change the settings of the router according to the ISP.

Trying to set up router, will not accept my isp info, checked over and over info is correct

Normally, your router is not involved with your ISP. Your router should be communicating with your modem which you rent from your ISP or you own. Your modem, once set up properly, will allow your router to use it. That is whaat DHCP is all about. Let it work.

I have recently bought a Belkin Wireless Router and I am unable to connect to the Internet on my laptop. What do I need to do to connect my laptop to the internet using the Belkin Wireless router?

your Internet modem or router needs to be connected to the Belkin router's WAN port with an ethernet cable. You'll then need to configure the belkin's wireless settings, it's usually a very easy "follow the prompts" kind of setup.
