I recently had a harddrive failure and I am now trying to download software for my brother printer (I cannot find my CD). I followed the steps, though the brother icon did not appear on my desktop. Still I was told it installed sucessfully, yet all print jobs stop, and do not print?
You say that you are trying to download software, and have followed the steps. Are you still looking for the manufacturer's software; did you just follow the steps for the Windows installation? You may already have downloaded the driver at this link, but just in case . . .http://welcome.solutions.brother.com/bsc...You say that you are trying to download software, and have followed the steps. You need to download the printer driver and install it on your computer. Connect the printer cable to your computer. You can download the Brother printer drivers from their support WEB site. Please click on this link and select your model printer to download : - http://www.brother.com.au/ProductsSolutions.aspx
You can download the drivers from the Manufacturer Web Site. You do not mention which Operating System you have ie: Windows7, XP , Home Edition…
Go to the Manufacturer Web Site ie: Epson.com or hp.com. Brother.com, etc, and choose your OS and download and install the drivers and software, then restart your computer.
The website will have the software "drivers" for you to download that your printer model's installation CD-ROM originally came with. This is necessary for your computer to recognize what kind of printer you're plugging in to it.
The printer's installation CD-ROM had the exact same drivers that you will be downloading so it will be like if you’re getting the installation CD-ROM again but only via the internet instead of having an actual CD-ROM so don't worry about it.
Some generations of people are terrified of using the internet for no other reason then FEAR of the unknown and that is not my problem. Just be brave.

From there, choose Drivers and the next page will prompt you to choose Drivers under Step 1 and your current OS (XP, Vista, Mac etc.) under Step 2. Step 3 is for Language.
On the following page you should choose "Full Driver & Software Package" which will download a file you can run to install the printer
I don't see Windows 7 listed - so those drivers may not be available.
u will have to either delete some unwanted files from your C-DRIVE.and empty the space to get the printer loaded.or if all the files r important and u dont want to delete them.then just copy and paste that files to D-DRIVE.so the space will be automatically created on the C-DRIVE then you load the printer and it will work properly.
