My t.v. (R46TV2704S) will shut it's self off after 2-3 hours of use. When the t.v. is about to turn off you see the screen start to become glitchy. The only way i can get the t.v. to work again is to unplug it from the wall for 10-20 minutres and plug it back in. The t.v. will have this porblem if i leave it plugged in regardless of being on or off. For example if i go to bed in the night and turn off my t.v. when i get up in the morning have to unplug it for 20 min before i can watch it again.
Any help would be AWESOME!
thanks

SOURCE: Powers off by itself.
Has anyone gotten a resolution for this the only answer I saw was the SSB Board. Is there a cheap place to get parts. Philips model 50P8341 goes off by itself also wont come back on if you unplug it for a while it will come back on.

Describe the past - How did it fail? One day or acting up for a while? Could be a weak power supply - a bad capacitor on a power supply too. Look for popped up capacitor top inside.

Well, first your model number is the 42 inch, but I digress...
I had a similar problem with a Viewsonic 27 inch, with the blinking power light on a failed power-up. It turned out that replacing the power transformer was the ticket. However, as I have the 50 inch Panasonic plasma, I know that the transformer is built into the set itself. I'd still suggest that this is what needs replacing though, as this is different from a set being on but having no picture.

Actually its a panel fault. You will need new inverter board for the panel. (That is if you get the power and sound, but no picture)

We have a 42 " LG Flat Panel, has worked just fine from January to October.
It started shutting itself off after a few hours of use, and we also have to uplug ours for awhile to get it to work again. It seems the longer we leave it unplugged, the longer use we get out of it.
Last week, we took it to a repair shop. They ran it non stop, 24/7 for the entire week, and it never shut itself off.
They suggested that it could be the fact that we have the tv, the satellite, and the surround sound all plugged into the same strip in the same outlet.
We now have all three appliances plugged into seperate outlets, and in seperate circuits, but the tv continues to shut itself off again here at home.
my new lg70 just shut itself off and then turned back on a few minutes later .... it is the first time this has happened and it had only been running for 45 minutes ... it did it twice about 5 minutes apart ...
I'm having the same problem with my television. Is their a customer service number we can call
