Dark photos on PC

I took about 800 photos on a recent visit to Vietnam which looked fine on the camera. However when I downloaded the onto the PC they were all very dak and I had to go through and edit them all.
what had I done wrong?

I have the same problem.

Suggest a new solution for this problem
