Question about Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition
Using skype ...we are connecting to another user... our video is blank..we can see them only...even on a local call and to thailand
Usally a problem with a router firewall, the ports for skype to send video are being blocked.
1. configure your router to forward the ports needed for skype to send video via the port forwarding page (check skypes manual for the ports needed)
2. Put your computers IP in the DMZ (check the manual for how to do this, it varies from router to router, please note your computer will be completely exposed the the internet if you do this)
3. change the portt settings in skype to a open port Tools>Options>Advanced>Connection
check the box for 443 and port 80

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
