Just figured it out ourselves: with case open and facing you, place the saw in, blade facing you. It needs to go down at an angle so the "leveler" is resting on the tlted portion of the case. Make sure the cord isn't hanging out.......took us about 1/2 hour to do it. Ours was a dewalt 368; next time we'll take a pic before taking tools out of their cases! hope this helps.

I just got a 20V DC310 (used) not in the case and just figured out how to put it in the case. There is a place where the depth gage sits at an angle if you set the saw in the box with the front of the saw facing to the left. The whole saw will sit at an angle and, sorry to say, you have to adjust the depth gage just right for the lid to close. The grips on the saw have to sit into the two plastic pieces protruding from the top of the case. Hope this helps.
