Hi, I turned on dishwasher nothing works

its the timer in the dial replace it and it will work fine yes its worth fixing

2) test the switch door, it is open or defective will not close the starting relais for turn the main motor.

I am doing all this and nothing! No lights turn on briefly, no short cycle begins..nothing. It will work 1 cycle then not a cycle, I have reset with turning off breaker, using the key sequence above, thought it was a drain issue, replaced the hoses. And here we are machine is not even a year old yet. Help

Try to reset the dishwasher by using this sequence of keys within 6-8 secs.

HiTemp/ heat Dry/ Hi Temp/ heat Dry/ Hi Temp / Heat dry.

If it works all lights should turn on. Press Cancel to exit.

I am assuming you have already tried to turn the mains power off and back on.

If still no difference, then the controller or the panel has packed up.

It sounds like you have "locked" the dishwasher. This was an added feature that most people never wanted since it only seems to be set by accident.

Try pressing the 3 second button and holding it down for at least three seconds. This should turn the light off. Drove us nuts the first time it happened. If it doesn't turn off then I guess it is broken.

press heated dry and hi temp back and forth till all the lights light up then hit cancel. You have a bad heater if the clean light is blinking

Hmmm...don't know why this worked, but it did. When the lights were flashing when I tried to start my Frigidaire dishwasher model#FDB1500LF, nothing would happen...just blinking lights, so I went to the house electrical panel, found the switch for the dishwasher, turned off & on again, and now the dishwasher works.
Go figure.

You have a bad control board/touch pad. All D/W's that have a solid state timer panel have a obvious problem in my eyes.......STEAM/CONDENSATION....both are in contact with a CIRCUIT BOARD!!!!! NOT TO MENTION IT'S HARDLEY PROTECTED IN THE FIRST PLACE from moisture.These errors NEVER EXISTED on rotary turning timers.Leave the lights and fancy display panels to video games.Consumers are being ripped off by bad designing and cheap quality control.

Puppa, clear the fault by pressing the keys in this order: high temp scrb--air dry--high temp scrub--air dry. Or, depending on your model..Sani rinse--air dry--sani rinse--air dry. The dishwasher will enter the service mode. Let it do it's thing or advance it through it by pressing the start key. The fault came from the board not sensing a rise in the water temp. Make sure to run the hot water before starting the dishwasher. The heating element runs through the nuetral side of the door switch so make sure the d/w is level and the door switches are all making. The element itself could be at fault. Catriver...post back
