It isn't the most hard thing to do but it involves removing quite a few parts and if you don't have a good past in fixing technical devices like computers or something you might not be the best person to do it. I'm not sure the price but I do know apple does offer a screen repair service I believe. If I am wrong then I'm not sure. I hope this helps;)
I would first recommend seeing how much the price for several repair shops are and if they are in your budget then it is possible that you can buy it there while if you feel comfortable to to so you may try replacing it yourself. I hope this helps;)
I suggest you search for somebody who repairs iPhone's and ask him or her to check the internal electronics of your device. An iPhone is a powerful device. Every inch inside an iPhone is used for electronic components, chips and cables. If you drop an iPhone the chance is big that the internal components have damage. If you're lucky it's only a loose cable inside the phone. A technician can just reconnect it but they need special tools and knowledge to open up and repair your iPhone. You could also go to a store and let them send in your iPhone to the Apple repair centre, but this will be very expensive. The cheapest way is that you search for a local technician who repairs iPhones. They will actually repair your iPhone. The "repair" service from Apple is actually more like a replace service. They will throw your defective iPhone away and will send you a new iPhone (same model as you sent in) and the repair will cost you the same a a new iPhone.
Yes. It can be fixed by apple authorized service center. Just bring your iPhone to any of service center and they will fix it for you. You can have it free of charge if your phone still covered with warranty. Bring it together with the receipt.
has to open the iPhone and replace the part. The
cheapest way is to do it your self and you should get aways with around
$70. The part is available on ebay. If you want to pay to have a
service do it for you there are third party iPhone Screen Repair Services. To try to do it yourself, here's a iPhone Repair guide on how
to disassemble an iPhone. As you can see from the guide, this is not quite that easy. Maybe a
tech savvy friend can do it for you.
The iPhone screen is not too hard to replace. A good source for the part would be ebay. Thereis a step by step guide too that explains how to replace the part : iPhone repair guide. There are also third party companies that do it for you : iPhone Repair NYC
