Question about Photography

Open Question

No owners manual or instructions were included in the box with the QSX 9502TM tri-monopod that I recently purchased. The tripod has a panhead attached to the tripod, then there's the ''quick-release'' panhead as a separate attachment. I'm not able to figure out as how to switch the panheads ... any suggestions? Barry

SOURCE: I have a SLIK Single Action Panhead Tripod.

it is a quick release plate. there is usually a button or lever to release the plate. you then screw the plate into the bottom of your camera or camcorder and mount the plate back onto the tripod. you can leave the plate on your camera when you store it to allow for faster setup.

Try www.TripodQuickRelease.com for that part. There is listed the widest selection of quick releases and support more brands than any other web site I've seen.

Panning Head came off of new Quantaray QSX 900TM Tri-monopod

It's supposed to come off.  There is a 1/4" screw stud on top of the monopod that it tightens onto.  This is how you change heads if you want to use a ball or other head.
