Question about Plantronics Explorer 340 Wireless Headset

Problem with Plaintronics 340 Explorer

Hi! I have a big problem.
I recently bought the 340 explorer. I have no problem pairing it with the computer. However, once I turn it off the first time (it is fully charged), I cannot, for the love of god, find a way to turn it back on. I synchronized it with my laptop. Is there something I am not aware of that prevents it from powering up if it is paired with such a device?

Note that the things does function - the red led does light up when I plug it in, it's just that I can't seem to turn it back on (I tried holding 1 second, two seconds, three seconds, tapping the button... nothing).

Please help!

    I have the same problem. First I thought I had a lemon, so I went back to the shop and changed it for another set. Now I had the same thing happen again. Switch it off and "boom" impossible to start it up again :(

    Same problem with me, it just worked once and after a full charge I can not turn it on again. Any aideas?

    Same problem here. After pairing with Toshiba laptop it's now dead.

This is answer of plantronics tehnical support:
"Dear customer,
Thank you for your-email and shown interest in our Plantronics range.
* If you would try the headset on the pc, would it work again. In other terms is the headset refusing to switch on or simply refusing to respond to the Nokia.
* If the headset is showing a failure in connecting even after 8 hours of charge, and even when undoing the pairing and pairing it again and trying to connect - if possible to a different mobile phone - then you are very welcome to claim a new replacement within the 2 years of warranty via :

I am unable to pair my Nokia N96 with Plantronics Explorer 240 / 395 bluetooth headset.

If you see your Bluetooth listed on your phone: delete it then turn your Bluetooth off. Turn off your phone and take the battery out of your phone for a few moments, reinstall the batter and turn your phone back on. Turn your Bluetooth back on and try repairing them again.

I have an Explorer 210 series. It will no longer pair

Just this morning I was able to pair this headset with my phone. Before, it was paired to my PS3. The key is to hold down the big round button on the outside until the light flashes red/blue (this is quick-pair mode) then just have your cellphone search for bluetooth devices and you're done!

Pairing my bluetoth to my blackberry curve phone

When it is turned off, hold the main button in for 4 seconds until the light flashes red, the release. It should flash red and blue. This means it is in pairing mode.

Sny ericson w850 and plantronics 340 not communicating

MIne connects to my phone and tells me it is connected but i do not get the headset picture on my mobile anymore, and when i make calls it isnt connected I still have to pick my phone up and use that..
Why should I have to do that when I bought it for that specific reason, I bought a Blueant one and it works perfect for three months..

Fix you problems plantronics and STOP using computer generated feedback!!!
And get someone with more than half a Brain to sort this out.
