Everio GZ-MG21U, replacement software download?

I lost the CD with the Cyberlink software that is required for handling the video files once transfered to the PC. I looked on the "software " portion of the JVC website but there is nothing I can find for this.
Thanks,
Don

I actually did not get cd in side and did not know I need it before the camera memory is done

I can't find the software anywhere. Any ideas?

I gave up on the original software and gave up on getting a replacement CD with no response at all from the great - NOT!- customer service at JVC.

However, my son found for me open source free software wtih which I convert the JVC file to WMV or any other commonly used video file format.

That is found at www.erightsoft.com , and the name of the software is Super (copyright sign which I cannot insert from my keyboarding on this page).

Works great and solved my problem!

If you have windows, you can use FFMPEG to convert the files into any format you want and then windows either windows movie maker or other software. On my mac, iMovie will automatically recognize the camera and covert the files!

I LOST MY CD ROM CAN I GET ONLINE

It is not required to use any driver or software to transfer videos from the Camcorder to the Computer.
Once you connect the Camcorder to the Computer, you will get the DVD disc in the Camcorder as an additional drive under My Computer.
You can find the Video_10 folder under the drive and copy it to the Computer to transfer the videos.
However, there are some occasion, computer may ask driver when connecting the Camcorder.. It may be due to genuine driver incompatibility..
In these type of situation, you can finalize the disc in the Camcorder and insert it in the CD/DVD drive on the Computer to transfer the videos.
You can use any software which you used to playback the commercially produced discs to playback the videos from the disc.

Looking for software for the panasonic SDR-H250GC-s that will read the *.MOD extention and burn the movies to DVD

Hi ,
I think the best solution is to first transfer your MOD files to your pc and convert them there to MPEG 2 .
You will find an excellent and free tool for this here : http://www.mediafire.com/?wzmigzhjj0z
It's called SDCopy and has especially been designed for the Panassonic cameras with HDD or SD cards .
Once your files are converted , you can use any sofware you want to edit your movie and burn it on dvd .
From my point of vue , Cyberlink Power Director is the best but there are many others on the market .
Thanks for using FixYa .

HOW TO DOWN LOAD FROM EVERIO MEDIA CAMERA gz-mc200 ek to pc

This will be, by far, the easiest way to transfer recorded images or videos to the PC. First, install the included Cyberlink software onto the pc. Attach the USB cable to the pc. Next, with camera turned on, attach it to the special connector (with the usb symbol) on the camera. The connector is located on the lower left side of the camera.(towards the front, under a flexible plastic cover). Let the computer recognize the camcorder and load the proper drivers. It will see the camera as another storage drive! Using your favorite media software(such as the Cyberlink) program, import pictures or videos from the camera. (i.e. choose the source--which will be the camera) and just import! Remember, the camera has an actual miniature harddrive installed in it, just like a pc. You can view, delete, move, transfer, any files on it just as you do on your pc. My God, do I sound that much like a salesperson?lol---happy viewing/editing!---Rick

Transfering from jvc-hd7 to computer

You should be getting .tod files, not .mov files. The resulting files are of the type MOVxxx.tod, where xxx is a hexidecimal number. You then convert the .tod files (for PC's only) to .mpg files with the Cyberlink PowerDirector software that came with your camera (on the CD).

Hope this helps.

Hi, You can only transfer still images (photos) with a USB cable. For video, you need a firewire card and cable. That's the way it works.
