Question about Computers & Internet
Every time I try to send outgoing mail i get this error
The host 'smtp' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly.
Subject 'Emailing: resumeshawn - Shortcut', Account: 'pop3', Server: 'smtp', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11001, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D
If you have a spam blocker installed, like Spam Monitor etc you need to make sure it is running when you try to get your mail. If you don't have one installed then you need to check your settings in your email client and make sure you are pointing to the right email servers. From the looks for the Error Number this is indeed an email servers name problem. Just make sure you enter them correctly. They will look something like mail.something.com

Have you made any changes to your pop3 server?. Look at your option in outlook it is under accounts. And check to make sure the server setup is right for your email. Most times the mail server and pop server are the same. Like
incoming pop3 (server whatever.com)
outgoing smtp( server whatever.com)
