I just bought a vrcd400-sdu. I am installing this myself, all of the wires are clearly labeled, when I turn the stereo in I get no sound, everything seems to work but the sound, I double checked all of the wiring, I can see which ones are the speaker wires, they are all connected correctly according to the lableing all of the pos are connected to the pos and neg are connected to the neg... do you have any suggestions?
Bwqueen-What type of vehicle are you installing it into,cause some vehicles have built in factory amplifiers.The ones with factory amps need a remote turn on to power up the speakers,let me know and I'll try to help you. cooltek Mar,4/08

nice radio bud. also want to say that the kicker amp will take the input from the stereos rca subwoffer out port on the back of the stereo, i have read about your radio before answering your questions to ensure acuracy.
Taken Directly from your manual
Press and hold the SEL button until LCD display “DSP OFF”. Press SEL button again and LCD display “WOOFER OFF’. Rotate volume to activate the subwoofer control function, then leave the unit idle for your desired setting to take effect. Make sure the unit is connected to an external amplifier.
RCA Line Out
The RCA Output Jack is on the back of the unit on the right side. (See figure 1) This output is for connecting an amplifier, equal- izer, or other audio component that requires a pre-amp out connection. (Red = Right, White = Left) Follow the manufacturers in- structions for the audio component that you are connecting
The Subwoofer Output Jack is on the back of the unit on the right side.
on page 8 of 22 on this ebook illustarted the proper wireing configurations for an aopmilifier. note: the remote wire must be conencted to the radio to the amp remote to allow radio to trun amp off and on good luck.
the audio source's output should connect to the inputs of the TS-WX11. caution on power supply connection: don't reverse the polarity of the positive and the negative wires. Remember also to set your HU's output in order for it to work. If it does not work yet please give the details on your HU and other devices being used.
it sounds to me like you have a bad ground or a short in the ground wire. try checking the ground cable as well as theremote wire (blue), and make sure the ground is connected to an unpainted,clean surface such as the frame of your car.
