I have the westell 7500. I have DSL with Verizon. The connection keeps dropping since day 1. which was about 5 weeks ago. The tech has been out about 6 times , replacing lines outside . rewired my house. still can't figure out the problem. Verizon sent me a new router , still having the problem. They coming out Monday to replace more lines outside. Please help. they have no idea what it could be. I have been on the phone and on live chat with Verizon for hours on end. getting real frustating.

please contact Verizon's Premium Technical Support and ask assistance for port forwarding if you want to use another router to your Verizon's network.

hi, try to connect that particular computers directly to the router using the ethernet cable,monior the internet connection,if l the internet connection is consistent, theres a possiblity that you need to update the driver for your wireless adapter,try to uninstall and reinstall it,but if the internet connection is still dropping off,contact verizon and tel them that you are having an intermittent connection to the internet,have them check the dsl line and if possible,ask for a higher tech support to do a test assist for the connection...

because, it is just normal for the E1 light to blink, but the DSL light should be solid at all times.

It can be a possible issue with the cable or the LAN card, but you still need to have your line checked by Verizon to make sure that it is not a modem or a network issue.

You have options definitely. You can get it through verizon, they'll ship it to you free of charge. You can also buy it at any local store near you. If you're going with the second option, just make sure you're getting either an Actiontec or Westell brand, because those are the only modem that Verizon supports, even if you buy it outside. Since you're going to upgrade your modem, I suggest getting a Westell 7500 or an Actiontec GT704, both are wireless capable already. If you use XBOX 360, I suggest getting Westell 327 or Actiontec GT701 or GT704.

you have the DSL filters plugged into all your telephones, but NOT plugged into the DSL modem?

is the DSL modem configured to automatically connect using your username and password?

have you tried using a different phone cable, or plugging into a different phone jack?

If they are charging you for the use of the westel, just tell them you don't need it. I would keep using your other modem that works.

Hi, Rob just studied ur problem.Iam a tech which handles this kind of issue. I talk to verizon,at&t,bellsouth,qwest daily for such issues. Well i can suggest u onething u can get the efficient speedstream 4100 series modem which comes with a 1 yr warranty. And also checkout with verizon clearly abt ur distance from the central office.Bcos might be ur dsl circuit may be not technically feasible i:e NTF. For further clarifications plz get back to me.
