Question about Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate Edition
I have a camcorder JVC, trying to use a firewire cable adapter so I can download my movies from my DV camcorder to my computer. I keep getting an error message. Does this adapter not work to Windows Vista>
The solution is to go to Device Manager locate the IEEE devices and delete the OHCI Compliant IEEE 1394 Host Controller, make sure that the IEEE card is out first. Put back the card and scan for hardware changes, it should pick up the card again, then switch on the camera and it should run the movie maker software. You may need to do it each time but it works.

JVC is Everio gz-mg330 my system is vista Ultimate. Just can't get it to recognize the camera using either usb or firewire. Have checked JVC site and can't find any firmware updates for vista ultimate.
