Same Problem

-   I have had the same problem with losing my buttons, but if you search on ebay, there is this seller in china that sells replacement buttons. Don't get stuck with t-moble not offering these items. it's disgusting. they rather sell you a new phone! On ebay, the cost should be no more than 12/13 bucks. go with a star seller -   Guest

-   my buttons did not fall off - only the paint came off! the phone is less than a year old and all of a sudden, the paint started to chip off the "ok" and "windows" buttons and the 2 above them.
i hate it - now my buttons are clear and it looks cheap! -   vfranco

-   It sounds like I am one in the crowd. I was talking on my phone and as I went to hang up the call, the button below the green call button was gone. I have never dropped my phone. I am having trouble finding a replacement piece as well. No luck with TMobile either. Any help would be great. -   Guest

-   My windows button fell off too, I called t-mobile the first time and the rep basically told me i was S-O-L, and that i had to file and ins. claim $130. I called them yesterday and asked if i buy buttons could i get them to put them on the right way and, they told me i was still under warranty, and i get my new phone in 7 days. Keep trying, for every rep. that says no theres' one that will say yes. Oh and i told them about this site!!!-   mscyprien04

I have had the same issue twice now, both times I was able to buy replacement buttons on e bay for about 10 dollars, however there is no instructions, and I think it was my fault it broke the second time because they are so delicate and difficult to replace without breaking a clip. However they are cheap and easy to find on e bay if you wanna chance the repair yourself!!

If you can't get a replacement under warranty there is both an T-Mobile Wing Repair Guide and a third party T-Mobile Wing Repair Service, If you try a self-repair make sure you feel comfortable with opening devices like that.

Please flood calls to tmobile customer service about this problem. HTC is saying they want a credit card number before the repair and tmobile is not acknowleging it as a defect. I am sure with continued complaints, TMOBILE will have no choice but to acknowledge the problem.

Hello everyone I had the same problem as many of you!!! I lost the windows button under the green button. I bought a replacement set on ebay and they send me the right piece, (really nice new set of front keypad).  I replaced the outer front keypad and it was hard but I manage to complete the task.  To my surprise when I put everything back together and try to use the keyboard, the damn thing didn't work.  I guess that now my phone looks nice cause it has a new outer keypad but now I can't use the sliding keyboard in order to type.  The phone still works but the keyboard does not work so now I have to text message using the screen keyboard.  It has to be a manufacturing defect cause this phone was treated extremely well and the same button fell off as many of you have experienced.  I guess it is better to buy a new phone and just leave the wing in the trash.  I am just waiting for tmobile to come up with a new windows device.  If not I am moving to Verizon, Tmobile has a good service but their phones **** plain ****!!!

I have the same problem also. I lost the soft key button on my tmobile wing, the OK button. So I called tmobile about the problem because its still under warranty and they told me it was not a manufacturer defect and that there were no other cases like mine. Those MF!

Comment by giggygwen, posted on Jan 28, 2009

My button fell off too and Tmobile will not acknowledge it as a manufacturer defect. I did not drop my phone to cause this. it MUST be a manufacturer defect. TMOBILE should be responsible for the repair.

I just noticed that the windows button on my wing phone is gone. It is the one on the left under the green answer button. What is it calls so I can buy a replacement. I can't have it like this. Thanks

I also lost my menu button on my Wing. I bought a new set of buttons off of eBay and had to pay $30 for them. now I just have to figure out how to take the faceplate off........

I have the SAME problem.
Its a Defect.
It has to be.
I mean it just slipped off easily while the rest are intact.
I dont think its worth repairing though..
The Wing is by no doubt one of the suckiest smartphone's ever.. I mean Just look at its RAM.
You can't even run a decent browser besides internet explorer.

Mine fell off too. They told me that it isn't a manufacturing defect, so they won't cover it. They said it would not have fallen off if I did not drop the phone, which I did not. How can it not be a manufacturing defect when its happened to so many other phones.

Comment by Versatile337, posted on Aug 26, 2008

wow, this is unbelievable that this many people have the exact same problem. Wouldn't you consider this a defect??

It's the exact same button for me too.

I have the same problem. I lost the button below the green talk button. At first I had it and tried to snap it back in, but nope. Now i've lost it completely. I am going to the t-mobile store, but from the ound of it, I am not going to get any help. I'm in the adhesive business and it's a result of the adhesive coming off / failing.

I have lost the same thing. And they are tripping talking about its $70 for a button at the manufactures. And tmobile saying I have to pay for damages when I didn't even drop this phone for the button to fall off. If anyone knows where I can go cheaper email me. candiceskall@fcb-hsvv.com
