Bootmgr is compressed

Hi .. I am running Windows XP on an advent 4211 netbook. Windows will not start as it says the BOOTMGR IS COMPRESSED. I do not have any recovery cdsetc. I do have another of the same computers and have made a recovery usb from it. I can now get to the command prompt on the compressed machine but where do I go from there? The only other options I get are to re-install windows and I expect I will then loose all my files.

Go to the device manager. You will see a section called Imaging devices. Click on the plus sign. if any device is listed uninstall it and then restart your computer. The drivers will get installed automatically or you need to use the driver CD to reinstall the same. Once installed use any software like Cyberlink Youcam or any other software provided to you by your vendor. make sure the input device selected is the required webcam.
