I have the same problem as those who stated their dishes are not getting clean. If you listen to the wash cycle you should hear water sloshing around inside. If you hear just a humming sound the washer has no water. I have this problem. I had a tech come and he told me the water is syphoning out my drain and I need to change my plumbing, then he charged me $65. I have lived in this house for ten years. 6 with the washer that came with house and 4 with this Kenmore Elite. This problem started about 6 months ago. So what I have been doing is opening the door, after the humming starts and the sloshing stops, and adding about 2 L of water. It seems to wash just fine after that.
Noise may be coming from faulty parts, but it also may be caused by improperly loaded dishes. heck your owner's manual for proper loading methods.Next, when the dishwasher is completely cool, look in the openings around the pump at the bottom of the dishwasher's interior be sure no implements or hard debris such as bones, fruit pits, or silverware are stuck in them.
Be sure your dishwasher is sitting level. Adjust the feet beneath the unit by screwing them up or down. If there are lock nuts on the feet, make sure they are tight.
A thumping or chattering sound during the filling cycle usually indicates that the inlet valve needs to be replaced. Unless you're handy with this sort of repair, this is a job for a repairperson.

You said, your Bosch dishwasher on auto wash will stop functioning in middle of the
cycle start beeping and there is an icon of a faucet on the display.
What is your model number and the year of the dishwasher?
First I would recommend putting the washer in a diagnostic test mode to
see if there is a stored error code indicating where the failure is.
Once the cycle starts, it should progress on its own to the end of the
cycle without needing any assistance. All you can really do is make
sure the water supply (hot & cold) is on & the drain hose is
not kinked or restricted. Here is a copy of the service manual showing
the test modes & error codes. You can order the owners manual with
part number 8566938 at www.sears.com

I have had this dishwasher since 2003 and haven't had a problem whatsoever. This is one of the best dishwashers I have purchased out of the 4 I have had.
it can be the 10A fuse located in the back of the machine. but.... storage is kind of a problem with determining what is wrong with it.
Mouse can have chewed the wires, moisture can have rusted or corroded some components.
Check the internal fuse first and please check all wiring fo damage.
I will give this a try and let you know how I go. Thanks
