unfortunately not - if you can find one from a tv that has other problems it may be worth it - but generally its a parts tv at the moment.

when it goes black then check with flashlight 2 in from screen and see if you see a picture, if so then inverter board is going out, you can google your model and inverter and find the replacement.

Yes, however, the Display is as much as a new set.

Unfortunately my friend, there is not a whole lot that can be done. Sharp has a great limited warranty, but it does NOT cover ANY problems due to physical damage. Getting screens replaced often times cost more than the tv itself. Save yourself the trouble of getting pissed off at sharp because they wont help you if you decide to call and replace the tv. I had one broken a few months ago. I got a couple quotes.. it was about $200 less then a brand new one. I'd just buy a new one.
For the new TV I'd pickup a screen protector for it. My son threw a toy at my TV the other day and I nearly had a heart attack from the flashbacks. Thank God I picked up one of these a few weeks earlier. It stopped it. LCD screens really break easily as you know. http://www.tv-armor.com

1. vga to vga cable
2. vga to dvi cable
3. vga to dvi cable, then dvi to component cable

Your tv must have 1 of the following:

- vga connector
- dvi connector
- component connector

Dead pixels are a fact of life on these newer flat panel TV's I dont believe you can fix them. They will be "on" on a completely black picture.

It's the LCD panel damage. You need to replace the whole LCD panel to get this problem fixed.

Normally warranty does not cover this kind of physical damage to your lcd screen. First check with your vendor to confirm. To replace the lcd panel is very expensive, may cost you as much as to buy a new one.
