When you go in to the add and remove programs does it say that the list is being populated or is just blank cause it can take several minutes to get the list together.

When you do this try to uncheck show updates at the top, which will populate the list faster and also try with safe boot and remove unwanted software from there

Program Is Not Listed in Add Remove Programs After Installation

The program does not show up on all program list maybe because you have uninstall it already or the installation of the program was not done properly. I have attached here two links for your reference on uninstalling the software, kindly go through them. If you do not succeed on uninstalling the software please get back to me for more procedural information.

Thank you.

Open Control panel > Add or Remove Program > its will show all Installed Program on your Computer.
if sweetIM on the list,Click Remove and Done.

But if sweetIM not in the list :

I have installed e type earlier now i want to uninstall it

there could be two options to do this.

no 1:

go to start ==>setting and then control panel. here you will find many options. you need to click on "Add or Remove Programs" if your OS is XP and "Program features" if your are using Vista or Win7.
look up program to be removed. click on it and press "uninstall on top of the page.

no 2:

to to start then programs and look up your program here. click on program program to be removed it would show a drop down list of option in it. you need to click on uninstall. thats it.

pls rate this solution if you find it helpful.

When I open the start buttom the computer does not show all the programes I had previously installed

Hello soiza4242, to find out if the "Programs" exist? do the following:
Click on the "Start button, and open the Control Panel."
Next select in the "Programs" category, [Uninstall a program] applet.
When the window open with the "listings of all the programs installed open; check to see if the ones you mentioned are there?"
If so, then go to the "Taskbar" paul7of9_87.jpg
{Alt / Right} click on a empty area to open the "Properties" shortcut.
Next, click on the Start Menu [button]. paul7of9_90.jpg
Now, click on the [Customize...] button.
In the next 'window,' there will be a "Number of recent programs to display."
View the small box with #s in it, [ 10 > or< with up / down arrows].
To "Display 'more' Programs, click to {+add} arrow up!"
Click on the OK button when finished.
This will show more programs listed in the "Start Menu."
Now? If the "Programs aren't listed in the {Programs and Features}; then they will need to be "Reinstalled!"

If this information helped? Return and give a "Helpful Rating," please!
Thanks, paul7of9

How to remove "Live PC care" program that was installed to my PC without my consent? Thanks a lot

If you are using windows xp then you need to access the Add/Remove programs list. You do this by clicking on your start button and then going to Control panel and then selecting Add/Remove programs and Live PC Care should be located somewhere in that list. You then have the option to unistall it.

If you are using windows vista it's the same thing although it isn't called Add/Remove programs, it's called Programs and Features. This will also bring up the programs you have installed and you can then proceed to remove Live PC care. Good luck. Andrew

Large space between apps in add/remove programs

Download tweak XP from the net, install it, run it, there is a tab named ADD/REMOVE programs, it DOES NOT add or remove programs, rather, it allows you to edit the Add/Remove program List only, so you should select the "blanks" and remove the from the list. ReClarify: IF you remove an entry from the Add/Remove tab using Tweak XP, It will no longer be available under windows control panel add/remove and if it IS still installed you will NOT have a way to remove the program.

Looks like it is an add-on from a MyWebSearch Toolbar. Try going to control panel and the Add/Remove Programs and uninstall MyWebSearch Toolbar if it is in the list.

Also in Control Panel, Double Click the Internet Options icon, click the programs tab and then click the button Manage Add-ons. Go through the list and disable any that refer to MyWebSearch.

Also, if you have a spyware program like Spybot or Malwarebytes run it since toolbars are famous for including spyware. If you don't have one of these, there are quite a few you can search for on google that are free.

Programs missing from add/remove list

Once you have the "Add or Remove Programs" window open look at the left side and make sure you have "Change or Remove Programs" selected. Also make sure you have the checkbox ticked that says "Show Updates".

As for the other programs in the list without the chage / remove option. You need to first click on the progam in the list to show that option.

Reinstalling Windows can be done in two ways...

1. Install it over your current installation.
2. Install from scratch.

The best thing to do is back-up data on some other disk that you cannot miss. Make s since a clean install will erase all data. Installing Windows over your existing installtion is not advised since it makes a huge mess out of things.

I'm not sure about the upgrade CD. It should work, if it doesn't you need to install a copy of XP first and then use the upgrade CD over it.

I hope this helps you out. Please rate the solution.

Add/Remove program

If your talking about the listed programs on your machine in Windows Add/Remove? If youve done a restore and nothing has happened then the computer is only listing whatever programmes youve installed. In other words if there are six programmes installed it will show only those six. It cannot possibly show anything or something other than that. If your sure you installed a particular programme and it didnt show up then you need help from Microsoft. They are display in that area for a purpose either the user wants to repair a software or uninstall it. Have I misunderstood your initial help?
