Question about Frigidaire FLEB8200DS Top Load Stacked Washer / Dryer

Dryer Doesn't Dry Well: Take two full drying cycles.

I had a repair guy out to fix the problem. He verified the dryer is getting up to the right temperature, but this still did not fix the problem.

Any suggestions?

I did not install it. Is there anything regarding the installation that might cause the problem? The vent goes down through the floor to the basement, then to the outside from there.

Thanks in advance.

Thank you. This proved that the problem was venting and you put me on the right track. I've read up on how to properly vent dryers and will be changing how this one is currently vented.

    Thanks again for the help.

I replaced the thermal fuse in the back two times and it dried the clothes for a few times. Now my dryer only gets hot every now and again. I can't figure out what to do.

If at all possible disconnect vent from behind machine and run a cycle with wet clothes( lint and moisture will be fllying around whih is why i said if possible) if it works then you know there a restriction in vent line leaving the home. Most problems relate to poor/ innadequate venting!!!!!!

We have Frigidaire stackable GLET1031CS0 in three of our rental properties. The homes are new. We had the same problem. The venting in the homes were within specs for this unit. After MANY hours with Frigidaire and their repair people, we finally threatened legal action. One of the main engineers with Frigidaire called our builder. He suggested using NON-FLEXIBLE venting from the dryer to the wall. Something about back draft. IT WORKED!!!!!! Hope this helps!!!

Hi there, I have a washer/dryer which does not dry properly any more. After a full drying cycle the clothes will be hot but still quite damp. After another full cycle they will be slightly less damp but...

The washing machine Dryer is very similar to many other dryer models, with the main difference being the two front panels on the dryer cabinet.

Taking the dryer apart is a job that can be done in about 30 minutes. Occasionally, the interior parts of the dryer, such as the motor or belt, may require maintenance or replacement.

You can take the dryer apart yourself, allowing access to the interior without spending the time or money to call a professional to do the work.

  • Screwdriver
  • Putty knife

  1. Unplug the electrical cord of the Kenmore 90 Series dryer from the electrical outlet before attempting to take the dryer apart.
  2. Locate the lower front panel of the dryer and slide a screwdriver along both ends between the panel and the dryer cabinet, prying away from the cabinet with the screwdriver to detach the panel from the plastic clips holding it in place.
  3. Slide a putty knife between the top lid and the dryer cabinet on both sides, lifting up to detach the top from the plastic clips and flip the top back so it rests against the wall on the rear hinges.
  4. Locate the screws on the bottom of the upper front panel, unfastening them with a screwdriver and lifting the panel off the metal clips at the top of the cabinet.
  5. Tilt the panel away from the dryer and unplug the door switch connector on the back of the front panel by hand, setting the panel out of the way.
Thanks and thanks for using fixya.

Dryer does not stop. time shows flashing rectangle. Is this normal

Hi There
I have this for you to read this should get you on the right track. Let me know how it went.
It seems to run forever If your dryer seems to run forever, it could be because of a clogged vent or internal ductwork. Your dryer may have an automatic cycle that turns off the dryer when the clothes are dry. It does this with a special thermostat or moisture-sensing system. Normally, this is what happens during an automatic cycle: The thermostat tells the dryer to heat until the interior of the dryer reaches a pre-set temperature--say 135 degrees. When the dryer reaches the pre-set temperature, the thermostat tells the timer to begin advancing. (If there's a moisture sensor, the timer advances only if the moisture content of the clothing is low enough.) The timer advances until the interior cools, then the thermostat tells the timer to stop advancing, and tells the dryer to start heating again. This cycle continues until the clothes are dry. But…if the vent is clogged, the dryer may never reach the proper operating temperature, so it doesn't send the signal to the timer and the dryer continues to run indefinitely, even if the clothes are completely dry. To fix the problem, clean the vent and/or internal ductwork.
Thank you for writing to fix ya.
Best Regards Richard

Dryer Problem

EC4 The temperature of air vent
Within 30 minutes of dry cycle there is 5 minutes in which the temperature is not increasing.

You need to call for repairs. Probably the heating element is faulty.

You can create a custom program without a dry cycle and hang dry your clothing.

How do you DRY with the Haier washer/dryer

Have you tried lengthening the dryer cycle or running it at a higher temp? The usual culprit for wet clothes is not running a dryer long enough or hot enough. (I remember some stand-alone dryers (coin-operated with a fixed drying time per coin) that needed two cycles to dry stuff.

Washer/Dryer not drying

is your dryer a conderser type
does it have a tank that you have to empty at the end of cycles
if it does the filter that condensers the water from drying cycle
if that is blocked it will not work
