Question about Toshiba Satellite P105-S6104 Notebook
Satellite p105 s6024 the toshiba assist thing is that a bios password or a different thing altogether either way what would i have to short to fix it on teh mobo or if thats even a possible solution
If this problem is what i think it is (bios password not functioning, cannot boot), i have a solution. I had this same problem and my laptop went into a box in pieces for about 3 months before i found the solution. on the bottom of the motherboard there should be a small, round, plastic covered object about the size of a watch battery. It is connected to the mobo via 2 wires. This is the Cmos battery. I pulled it out, and just to be sure, I shorted the two pins in the connector port with a resistor for a few seconds. This will remove any stored passwords in the chip and it should boot up just fine.
