Won't print(after changing cartridges

I changed ink cartridges ..now it won't print. If ink dried in the nozzles, is it possible to access them to clean/flush ? ( repeated head cleaning and nozzle checks do nothing but deplete the rather costly ink supply)

Tried all the troubleshooting suggestions and still won't print after changing all the ink. Did all the headcleaning, usb cable checks, etc. Why would it suddenly quit printing altogether? It goes through the motions, sounds like it prints, and clean the heads, but not a drop of ink, of any color.

Blank pages and bad print are not the same problem. Regarding costly ink, a epson printer tech told me once that the secrete to cleaning a bad print head was to run deep clean 7 times in a row and then a head test and it has worked for me several times on other printers (not an expert here, just personal experience).

Additional note, I have seen both cleaning chemicals and cleaning cartridges on the web, example, searching google for one for my printer I would search for cc-bci-6c which is for a canon cyan cleaning cartridge. Don't know if they work but in case it helps.. good luck.

Cannon Pixma MP780 won't print. Just replaced black ink cartridge, do I have to replace all of them for it to print

Not normally but the black print head nozzles maybe blocked.
Inkjet printers need to be used frequently to prevent ink drying out and blocking the print head nozzles.
If the print head cleaning maintenance routine does not clear the blockages, then print head needs replacing, but it may be expensive.
It may be more cost effective to buy a later model and better printer than replace the print head.

My cyan colour won't print : tried aligning page, everything, can you help?

Try to do the Deep Clean Printhead function on your printer to force ink through the nozzles and clean possible clogs and dirt.

My hp 6500 won't print black. I've changed the cartridge twice. No result. Can the ink not be getting to the printer head?

Unplug the printer for at least overnight. I have 3 of these printers and all 3 have done this. All 3 came back after being unplugged for a long period.
Personally, I think a class action suit might be in order.

Hi Allan

BROTHER DCP-165C BLACK INK NOZZLE BLOCKAGE CLEANING

If your printer is under warranty then take it to a Brother Service Center for Print Head Maintenance.

If not and you are technically minded and/or adventurous, then you could try to clear the likely cause of this fault (potential blocked micro-nozzles on the print head) yourself.

Remove all the cartridges, wrap them in clingwrap/clingfilm and then place them (upside down) on an old newspaper to minimize accidental leakage > remove the print head (a small square, gold, patterned contact plate sitting at the back of the cartridge compartment) > immerse the print head in a solvent for 24 hours (sometimes longer). Below is a webpage showing you how to create, handle, store, use your own solvent recipe to and safely and responsibly dispose of used solvent:

http://www.ehow.com/how_6614390_homemade-solvent-clean-print-head.html

Remove and blow dry the print head until completely dry > reinstall print head > reinstall cartridges > repeat head cleaning and test print procedures again.

For the future, either with this or any other printer, please remember these tiny micro-nozzles can very easily become blocked with dried ink. You can protect against this by always using good quality ink, printing regularly to keep ink flowing through the system (including the odd unnecessary test print, if necessary), replacing empty cartridges without delay, not allowing drying air to dry ink residue in the micro-nozzles by never leaving a cartridge space empty for more than the few seconds it takes to change a cartridge, always fully prepare, unpack, unclip and unpeel the new cartridge before removing the empty one, try to avoid being distracted while changing cartridges (so easy to forget and leave a cartridge space empty and the cartridge bay open).

Please don't hesitate to ask for more help if you need it.

I hope this helps.

It won't print.. it goes thru the whole process and makes you think its printing but when its done the page is blank.. I have the Dell AIO 964 printer and all of a sudden it will not print.. it has...

if the unit has been working properly for sometime and then suddenly stopped printing anything... you might try to perform a maintenance cleaning on your unit... this is caused by clogged nozzles which stops the printer to withdraw ink from its tank.... best way is to perform a headcleaning process for sometime.... if it still persist, reseat the ink cartridges... if it still does not work... try spraying the nozzle with wd40.... let it dry for 1 hr or 2.. if it still persist and the process is the same... im a afraid that we may need to have your printer serviced.... hope this helps you out...

have a grand day...At least we tried...:-)

Once you have removed the plastic tape, install the print cartridge immediately to prevent the ink from drying in the nozzles.

4. Push the new print cartridge into the appropriate slot at a slight angle until it clicks into place.

Do not attempt to push the cartridge straight into the slot. It must slide in at a slight angle.
