You can unlock a Motorola C168i using unlock code. But you need not go anywhere to purchase the unlock code. All you need to do is to visit the site www.Theunlockarena.com and get your unlock code online at affordable cost. All the best mate.
Even the settings for your sim card is already active, you need to download and save gprs setings from network providers.
you can do that by calling *888 for smart or 211 for Globe
Also you can go to the network providers,Smart wireless Center or Globe Business Center, to activate it for you, this service is free.
Thanks for using Fixya.com, kabayan.
The handset is probably purchased or manufactured for other country, that is why the problem is arising. Upgrade Software according to thecountry u r living from the Servicing Centre of the manufacturers.
Even if the phone is unlocked it might not work on the Philippines network. The Japanese Softbank 911T is manufactured by Toshiba and uses 3G WCDMA 2100MHz. China uses 3G TD-SCDMA. China Unicom is going WCDMA as well soon. Enquire at your service provider, if it can be made to work, they will do it. I don't really know about the Philippines. Great phone though.
