The refrigerator is a Kenmore bottom freezer Model 795-75002401. The little white hose on the back of the refrigerator where the water comes from the supply connector line to the ice maker comes out of the connector tube. Water is not getting into the ice maker and no ice is being made, even when I reconnected this tube.

    Thanks. I'll try this.

Thanks for trying but I don't know how to get the inlet tube out to defrost it. Repairman coming today.

Maytag, water all over the floor when I checked behind the refrig, I could see water pouring out around the gasket.

  • Anonymous Aug 27, 2008

Mu subzero is leaking right by the hose as well. Water is collecting inside under the fruit drawer and outside puddles on the floor. I'll be turning off the ice maker. I'm wondering if there is anything else I should be looking for before I get a qualilty repair out.

First insure that tube is not frozen at dump point into ice maker. To prevent hose from separating from connection tube through back of freezer-apply small amount of glue (krazy glue etc.0 to tube and re insert into connector. Solved my problem.

Has anyone heard of the product Flood Detective. It's a water leak detection sensor/alarm and will at least alarm you before mold and leaks get out of control? Have one installed under my sink, water heater and refrig. Find them at www.leakalarm.com.

Hope this helps!

I had a similar problem several years ago with water leaking on the floor at behind the fridge. Turned out to be the gasket at a connection the same size as a garden hose at the water valve, so I used a garden hose washer and that did the trick. That was on a Whirlpool vintage about 1990. Can't say what the model was.

Ge GSL25JFTA is leaking water on the floor from the front of the unit

Turn off the water supply to the ice maker. If it stops the leak, look for a leaky O ring on the filter. There is a plastic hose that runs out of the front of the refrigerator and goes to the freezer door for the water dispenser. It has a connector near the freezer door lower hinge so the door can be removed easily. That connector can leak as well. There is a condensate pan under the refrigerator that may be over flowing too.

We have a puttering noise every 2 months or so, and I have to defrost the freezer to get the ice off the fan. We have had the icemaker replaced under warranty, but it didn't stop the problem, it

it is possible there is a bit of splashing and drops of water fall on the light cover during fillup of the ice maker make sure the hose that leads in the ice maker is positioned correctly to prevent water splashes. Or lower the water pressure to the hose of the ice maker. Good luck.

How to reassemble ice dispenser parts od kenmore model 106.5706*602

Clean out the new ice maker with warm soapy water.

Ensure that the floor surface under your refrigerator is level. If the floor surface under your refrigerator isn't level, you can place shims under the legs of the refrigerator to fix the uneven surface.

Turn off the main water supply to your house.

Clear the water line by running the faucets until the pipe clears.

Screw the copper supply line's connector to the house's cold water connector valve. Use an adjustable wrench to tighten the connection.

Slide the compression sleeve and nut onto the other end of the copper supply line. The compression sleeve and nut will wrap around the outside of the copper supply line.

Bend the copper supply line to fit into the water line inlet casing located on the back of the refrigerator. Leave slack in the line so that the refrigerator can be pulled away from the wall or cabinets. The water line inlet casing is a plastic bracket used to hold the copper supply line in place so that there is no pull on the tubing's connection. It is the larger of the two plastic brackets located on the back of the refrigerator.

Insert the compression sleeve located around the end of the copper supply line into the ice maker connector. The ice maker connector is already installed on the back of the Maytag refrigerator.

Tighten the nut over the connection between the compression sleeve on the copper supply line and the ice maker connector with an adjustable wrench.

Attach the water supply tube clamp to the water supply line by clipping it into place. The water supply tube clamp is a plastic bracket located on the back of the refrigerator that holds the supply tube so that it doesn't rattle and become disconnected. It is the smaller of the two brackets located on the back of the refrigerator.

Turn on the main water supply.

Check all connections for leaks.

Position the drain hose located on the back of the ice maker over your floor drain. Use a PVC pipe if you need to redirect the drain hose flow so that it falls over the floor drain. The PVC pipe should not touch the drain hose and should have no low point where the water can settle.

Plug the ice maker into a 3-prong grounded outlet.

How do i turn off the ice maker on a ge profile. thereis a bad leak from the hose in the back. can i just turn off the ice maker to stop the water flow?

You can lift the lever in the ice hopper to turn off the unit, or simply unplug the electrical connection to the ice maker inside the fridge. If your leak is in the line between the house supply line and the valve on the icemaker, turning it off will not solve your troubles. If that is the case, you can turn off the supply line valve.

Ice maker leaks inside freezer

check the water discharge hose which fills the ice maker after ice is dumped into the bin. the line is located in most cases at one end of the ice maker and allows the water to flow into a funnel like device above the ice maker mold. the hose has the diameter of a penny, it is probably misaligned with the ice maker itself/
