The "start/stop" button seems to be stuck in the "start" mode. As soon as it's plug in, it immediately starts to brew. It will stay on until it's unplugged. Ahy ideas????

Unplug the coffee maker first. Push the switch pretty hard on and off about ten times. Steam may have caused some corrosion and its not completely disengaging. Try it out.

If you can get to the inside of the unit, perhaps through the bottom, try spraying a bit of WD40 into the switch. Unplug first of course. Flip the switch
