Philipss music centre can't power up

If the center wont power up, then its the power supply thats the issue. If it turns on and the screen says " Booting please wait " and does nothing else then internal hard drive is at fault. Hope this helps.

My sony stereo is on protect mode what do i do

Turn volume down, remove speaker wires from back and power on, if protect stays off there is a short in the speaker wire or speaker. But if the protect comes on, the ouput ic is shorted.

Sony HCD-LX10000 will power on then turn back off

Check the speaker wires on the back for shorts, if okay! the problem is in the audio output ic's in the stereo.

The problem is in the audio output ic, it is loading the unit into shutdown. The only option is have the ic in the stereo replaced.

Protect mode jvc

The protect mode is activated when it senses a short in the audio outputs in the stereo. Turn volume down, power off, and remove speaker wires from the back, next power on, if the protect comes on the audio output ic is shorted, if on the other hand it runs, check speaker wires for shorts and then hook up one at a time to find the fault including the speaker.

The system is always in standby mode and do not turn ON

The problem you are describing is typical of audio output ic problem when there is a high current load the protection circuit kicks in preventing further damage. But lets check a couple things! turn down volume, power off, and remove speaker wires from the back. now power on, if protection kicks in the audio ic needs to be replaced, if it powers up properly checks wires for shorts and speaker issues and hook up one at a time until protect comes on revealing the problem.

System locked in stand by mode how can i reconnect

Hello
Unplug the device from AC mains wall socket, and replug it after a while, say five minute after. If it dow not help you to reset this device:
Press "Power" while pressing [>] [Play] button on the unit.
If this also does not help you, do as follows.
[1] Press Power to turn "OFF" the power.
[2] Press POWER to turn the power back ON while pressing "CLEAR'. Everything stored in memory after purchase will be cancelled.

"If power cannot be turned OFF in step 1, because of malfunction, reset by disconnecting AC cord, and connect it again. Then carry out step-2. OK

Wish you A Happy and Prosperous 2012

How to reset my sony mhc-gs100??? it keep saying power protect...

Your stereo went into protect mode to prevent complete failure of the amplifier inside that radio. Most of the time this happens from playing the stereo real loud for a real long time and it overheats. Most of the time disconnecting the receiver/stereo and letting it cool all the way down or at least 5 minutes and then reconnecting it to the power source will reset the protection mode. You want to make sure you are keeping the radio cool. Don't stack anything on top of it and try keeping a small fan blowing on it to expedite the heat out from the unit. Also turning it down every now and then to let everything cool down a bit will help prevent it from going into protection mode as well.
