I have a 10 yr old ge profile dishwasher. The dishes on the top rack are not getting clean. Sometimes it doesn't even seem like the dishes are very wet I took out the upper sprayer arm and ran water through it just fine. What else may be wrong? The bottom rack cleans just fine.

that depends on your technical ability. if ypu go to sears direct parts and put in your model # you will see a pic and it will give you a part # and price .the job is a big job. let me know what you find

try c.l.r. to clean dishwasher check and clean lower and upper spray arms out, run no detergent you can also run vinegar in it as well about a cup full,let the machine start to run then stop dish washer for a few hours then restart see if this works for you use a short cycle.

Check if the water is getting heated in the dishwasher. Most likely water temperature if not adeqaute will not fully use the detergent and cause dirty dishes. This could be caused by heater which is failing.

My dishwasher wont clean the dishes. The bottom rack gets kinda clean and the dishes on the top rack come out dirty and covered in film.

Check whether the top rack spray arm main hose sits firmly into the
machine. If there is a leak in this area water pressure may not develop.
Also check the water pump in the machine!

look in the back and make sure the drain hose is about 18 ins high if the hose falls it will not hold the water in the machine

My GE PDW7880G doesn't clean items in the top rack. The dishes on the bottom seem fine. I do make sure to push the top rack all the way back so it engages.

removed the sprayer. the part that spins under the top rack and check that the holes arent clogged.

TOP RACK DOESN'T RINSE

I would suggest you buy some CLR and run it through a full heavy cycle with the washer empty. Be sure to put it in all dispenser areas and sprinkle about 1/4 cup into the washer before starting.
