No one in North America uses these. They are a throwback to U.K. Hoover twin tubs in the 1960s. There used to be a sort of non return valve and a rubber flap.
Do you mean a Hotpoint Aquarius WDL 540 washer? The wash cycle timing is available in the manual on page 8 of the manual (see link below). A normal-sized cottons wash at 40 degrees C takes about 150 minutes (2 1/5 hours) if you have good water pressure and do not use too much detergent. The coloreds cycle is shorter (just under 90 minutes). The indicator lights on the very right hand side (in a downward slash pattern) give the cycle status information. The top light is wash, and the next one down is rinse. The rest are Spin, Dry and End of Cycle. See page 7 of the manual. The function buttons, below the wash temperature and drying time/humidity selection knobs, are from left to right: Super Wash, Extra Rinse, Mini Load, Slow Spin. These are given on page 9. The dryer dial gives you the choice of selecting a dry time from 40-180 minutes or by humidity. The humidity options are Iron (leaves clothes slightly damp), Hanger (ready to put away) and Cupboard (to dry heavy items like towels to a very dry stage). Note the dryer can't manage as large a load as the washer function does. You may need to split the load after doing the wash.
WHIRLPOOL CABRIO WASHER ERROR F71. The Cabrio Washer Error F71 code is the same as the SD code: This error means the main control board detects too much drag on the basket during the spin cycle.Mar 29, 2017
If you mean error OE, it means you have debris that is plugging the pump, the tub to pump hose or the drain hose. Please check those and remove it. If not, please for my clothing trapped between the tub and th spin basket.
The rl code is displayed when the control detects a load of clothes in the washer during the clean washer cycle.
This code should only come up when you're trying to run a clean cycle.
There can be two causes for this message if there are no clothes in the washer while you're running the clean washer cycle.
The most serious cause of the problem would be the spin bearing. Try and turn the basket by hand and see if you fill any restrictions. The basket can drab because of the bearing or because there are clothes between the spin basket and outer tub. Turn the basket by hand and see if you notice anything.
You can also try to remove the belt and run the clean cycle and see if the problem repeats. If the code doesn't repeat with the belt off and there is nothing between the tub and spin basket most likely the spin bearing will have to be replaced. The bearing is part of the rear half of the tub and will require a complete tear down to change.
If the message rl repeats with the belt off then the most likely cause of this problem is the machine control board.
We are talking about FAV6800A or FAV9800A TL correct? If so you need these links the Service Manual and parts look up; here is the Service Manual for reference. Sears Parts Direct for reference. If your machine completes the wash cycle with no error code such as ND (No Drain) and there is no visible water in the bottom of the wash basket when you remove your wash load then I would do this test. Take the next wet wash load that is dripping wet and lets do a Quick Spin Test in Service Mode.During this test test the FAV6800A LED display model will step thru the RPM (revolutions per minute) or goal is to ensure the machine will spin the wash basket up through all Spin Cycle RPM ranges.Any RPM range above 99RPM’s will be shown with a (.) dot after the two numbers displayed i.e. 350RPM will show as 35. 550RPM will shoe 55. And so on. I’m and owner of the FAV6800A and I’m not sure what the LCD display of the FAV9800A will display. Enter into Service Mode; Page 14 of the Service Manual; below I have cut and paste the instructions.
Enter / Exit Service Mode To enter Service Mode press the Enviro Plus and Spin Only keys (simultaneously) for three seconds or until the control beeps. Now go to page 14 and enter this front panel key pad press to start a Quick Spin Test and see if the machine with that wet clothes load will spin the wash basket to 850RPM. Quick Spin Test While in Service Mode, press the Hand Wash key to start a Quick Spin Test. Quick Spin test steps are as follows: 1) Lock the lid. 2) Spin to index speed 90 rpm and hold for 60 seconds. Pump drains machine. 3) Spin to index speed 150 rpm and hold for 6 seconds. 4) Spin to index speed 350 rpm and hold for 6 seconds. 5) Spin to index speed 550 rpm and hold for 6 seconds. 6) Spin to index speed 700 rpm and hold for 6 seconds. 7) Spin to index speed 850 rpm and hold for 6 seconds. Pump out. 8) Coast down to 0 rpm chimes 3 times. Hit the Off button to get out of service mode. If the machine spins the wash basket to 850 RPM then we need to start looking further. What are your results? You can check the flow rate of the drain system by again entering Service Mode and turn the Drain Pump on in service mode.I would (hand fill) place 5 gallons of water in the machine and turn on the drain pump see page 16 for Board Output Test. Enter Service Mode and press the Delicates key.You are now in Board Output Test now press the Presoak key and the Drain Pump will turn on.If your machine pumps out the 5 gallons of water in 60 seconds or less I would say your Sump Cap, drain line connection from Sump Cap to input to the Drain Pump, Drain Pump and discharge line are all working as designed. If the Machine takes greater then 60 seconds to dump the water then you need to start troubleshooting for a drain line restriction or Drain Pump issue…...Rich
Hey Nick, “”Received advice from one of your experts that it was a resistor problem w/instructions to fix. Opened my machine up and the mother board does not match”” That’s not the way I troubleshoot.Did you pull out the troubleshooting guide out of the console, while you had it open it’s good to have the schematic that’s all that advice was good for. Do you take any errors to the display such as dc/UC while the wash cycle moves into spin cycle? If you run a Spin Only Cycle with no clothes in the wash basket will it complete the cycle?Does the wash basket spin at all in Spin Only cycle? If it does have you done a Tub Displacement Sensor check?I us this quick check to rule it out. 3.0 Tub Displacement Sensor Diagnostics check. It is possible the Tub Displacement Sensor may have failed try this check which is the Troubleshooting guide stored in your washer console or refer to the SM.
3a. Enter the Service Mode by pressing and holding the Enviro Plus and Spin Only keys for three seconds or the display reads “00”
3b. Press the Super Wash key display reads “in”…something like that.
3c. Press Delicates the Display will show “UC” (Unbalance Closed).
3d. Push tub to the back right corner of the machine the display should change to “UO” (Unbalance open). Release tub and the display will show “UC” (Unbalance Closed).
3e. Press Hand Wash.
3f. Pull tub to the front left corner while pushing the tub down the display should change to “UO” (Unbalance open). If you get these results your Tub Displacement sensor should be OK and I believe it’s not the component failure producing dc/UC errors in spin cycle.I would remove the clutch for inspection and re-lube.There is a more technical troubleshooting method to check Tub Displacement Sensor in the Troubleshooting guide and Service manual. Hey Joe, Let’s check to see if the wash basket will rotate CCW in Spin Only Cycle with no clothes in the wash basket 1.Open the lid and rotate the wash basket by hand Counter Clockwise, CCW.The wash basket should rotate freely with no restriction. The wash basket will not rotate Clockwise, CW by hand. 2.Raise the top of the machine.Insert a flat blade putty knife approximately 2.5” from the left and right sides of the washer top, depress the spring tabs securing machine top to the washer base.Raise the top of the machine to observe the wash basket and tumbler action described in step 3. (See page 33 of the Service Manual for putty knife insertion point). 3.With the top raised start a Spin Only cycle with no clothes in the wash basket, observe the wash basket it should begin to rotate CCW does it?.Watch the tumblers, they should not rotate in spin cycle (maybe ½ turn at the start of spin cycle and that’s all).If the tumblers rotate while the wash basket is rotating you have a clutch malfunction. If the basket does spin CCW and the tumblers are rotating then you have a broken clutch spring.Let do those checks and observations and see what the next troubleshooting steps will be.Rich
The F54 fault code indicates that the control board senses high motor current. This can be caused by excessive friction in the spin basket. With the washer off, open the lid and see if the basket spins freely. If not, you may need to remove the basket and check for an item stuck between the spin basket and the outer washer tub. The second and third images show procedures for removing the basket on the Oasis washer depending on whether you have an impeller or agitator in your model. If the basket spins okay, then you can follow the technical troubleshooting described in the first image. This may help you determine the cause of your washer problem.

A dc error means that the clothing is not being distributed properly in the basket. This usually happens when the machine is lightly loaded. If the load seems o.k. then the problem is probably with the sensor at the side of the basket.
