Saeco Grinder problem

The below solution did not work for me.. could somethoing be stripped..or a sensor not working? All below was posted by someone else... I tried it still gets coffee beans empty..though it appears to be trying to grnd.

I had the same problem and Saeco recommended that I clean the grinder. Check this link for instructions.http://saecooutlet.com/instructions/Grinder%20Cleaning_Magics_Royals.pdf

Powers on....everything works fine, can brew with pre-ground beans in the preground hopper.. Wondering if there is a significant jam above the dosing door...which I have cleaned.

Tries to grind when pre-ground is not selected.

Sorry don't understand the carbon situation.. except it sounds like you think I need to take it in for service.. requires shipping and is a $200 problem usually.

  • Donrob9 Mar 02, 2008

That couldn't possibly be the problem. As I have said repeatedly everything functions properly, with the exception of the beans not being ground. I am much more inclined to believe there is some sort of jam up between the grinder and doser.

The machine possibly out of carbon lead, which is use for electrical contact to the machine.

There's a possibility on the carbon. but it's your better option is to put into service.

Is there nothing any appliance repair shop near you..

A carbon led is a electrical contactor device when you use such buttons or a switch on a cerrtain appliances this carbon will give some ignition to the machine to work.

Two weeks ago I paid > $100 for a full service (Saeco Magic Deluxe) and now the machine won't grind the coffee beans. Any suggestions so I can be a bit "knowledgable" if I need to take it...

Hi
If the grinder is spinning your grind set is too fine. Push the lever below the bean hopper to the back. It can go to a coarser setting anytime but the grinder has to be spinning to make it finer. They may not have set the grinder correctly. Have them walk you through the process. It also takes about 2 to 3 times before the grinder fills to work.

Grinder is rotating but beans won't go down.

Hi
Pull the doser adjustment lever (topcenter of the right door) to the minus. Push the grinder adjustment lever (below the right side of the bean hopper) to the back, to # 7, and try again. If that doesn't work you are going to have to clean the grinder.

Incanto sirius states grinder blocked. Took apart

I own a Saeco Incanto Deluxe. It employs the ceramic grinder that has worked flawlessly for 3-4 years. One day it stopped and "Grinder Blocked" appeared. I removed the entire grinder unit, cleaned it thoroughly and calibrated the grinder. This did not fix the problem. After many similar attempts, I found the entire grinder assembly (motor, grinder etc.) online for $149.00. Install of the new assembly took me five minutes and it works perfectly. Please note that the ceramic grinding blades (there are two round ones that must be aligned corrrectly) cost $40 a piece (same site where I found the entire assembly for $149). My suggestion--save yourself the agony and replace the assembly if cleaning and calibration fails.

Saeco Vienna Deluxe leaking problem and grinder problem

I would repair it, it sounds like the grinder needs to be adjusted (burrs may be dull), and the leak on the bottom may be coming from the small drain hole on the back of the brew chamber. If you remo;ve the chamber you will see the white water valve that the chamber connect to, if you look below the white valve the small chamber in there will be filled with water, below that there is a small discharge use a stit stick or paper clip to clear hole.

Long time for drip coffee.

Grinder is set to too fine. Lower grinder settings. Keeping the machine at current settings with drip extraction will result in brew group clogging, gear stripping, and/or dulling of grinder burrs.

Hi,

I think you have to take it to a Saeco service center, they have to upgrade your power board in the machine.
