Kenmore HE2 Plus Front Load Washer Logo
Anonymous Posted on Feb 24, 2010

My kenmore 48116/48112 front loader will not drain. How do I get to the ''hose'' to see if it is clogged? It is stacked with my dryer, so I'm hoping I can even get to it.

I thought it was in the front! Oh well- guess I have to call the repairman. Thanks for your quick response - it's only a year old so hopefully its not something expensive.

Water is not discharging

this could be a problem with the lid switch is the unit spinning?.
take a wet dry shop vac and attach it to the end of the drain hose to remove the water.
then remove the front panel in order to check the drain pump and make sure there is nothing clogging the pump

Leaks at bottom lefthand corner when filling

On that model it's easy to unscrew the front and take it off. You can then see the hoses etc to see where the water is coming from. I had to replace the drain hose on mine.

Kenmore Washer/Dryer Does Not Drain. Please Help!

Check out your exit hose spigot, it may be clogged. This is if your filter is all clean(ref manual). There should be air for passage in the standpipe behind. Your hose should not fit airtight into the standpipe and neither too deep into it. Some connect to sink, fine. Snaking out your standpipe would be good too.

If the above fails, check to see if your pump is blocked. Pl rate if helped.
