I want to bypass variable speed control for pc

I want to bypass variable speed control for porter cable router 7529, eliminate switches on router and just plug cord into a switched outlet

You didn't specify what type but I looked at a type 7 or so and the switch number is 697452 and list is 14.00. You should be able to buy that online or I would suggest if you have an electrical supply house in your area taking that one and matching it up, there is nothing special about it other than size, BUT make sure that they get one for the proper amp draw which is listed on switch. Let me know if I can help further

SOURCE: I have a 352VS Porter Cable sander. It started

check brushes or maybe the armiture is bad.

My 12 year old plunge router 7529 does not start. It worked just fine a couple of days ago and all then sudden... nothing. Any suggestions!
A 1 year old router...that suddenly stops working. My suspicions would be brushes first then the switch.

There are 3 different types of this router Type 1, 2, and 3.
