If the power supply is a Bestec ATX-250-12e, then most likely the power supply has killed the motherboard.  You will have to replace both the power supply & motherboard.

You can look at the caps on the board to see if they are bad. If the tops are bulging then they need replacement, a lot of E machines had cheap caps that didn't last long. If your good at soldering you can replace them for about 20$..

Emachines don't last long. Even though the power supply turns on it still could be bad.
It is probably the motherboard. Best to buy a new computer. Pull the hard drive from the old one and set it up as slave on the new PC so you can transfer all your old files.

Missing a cord on my emachine it want come on without the cord dont know the name of the cord

If it won't turn on without this particular cord, this would be a standard power cord.

I down loaded drivers for emachine t2460 they are in another pc in zip folders, how do i get them on a cd to load them in the emachine t2460 windows xp

Skip the CD and use a USB thumbdrive. They are cheap and can be purchased nearly anywhere now, including most groceries and hardware stores. You will find it a whole lot easier to work with as well.

I need to re down load my drivers on my emachines

Is your "Turn off Computer" shut-down option is greyed out?
Go to power options in Control Panel and click on Advanced tab. Check setting under "Power buttons".

Also check Power schemes on first tab, drop down box making sure "ALWAYS ON" is not selected.
