All you have is to connect the 3 wires from the cable that is for going to the phones jack, at the pins 1,3,4 of the scart a/v of the tv. Mention that the shield of the cable (the one is going at the big outer metal of the phones plug) must connect at the pin 4.Here is a pinout of the a/v pins

I suppose that a euro a/v (or scart a/v) to RCA or mini jack adaptor is posible to be found at your market so you don't have to make one by yourself.

In case of a problem or clarification, don't hesitate to post.

I want to listen to my television through headphones as i am hard of hearing and i want my husband to be able to hear it at his level. I have bought Panasonic wireless sourcing sound headphones RP-WF

That is a good ideal Lynda. I have no experience with those headphones so my ideas/troubleshooting is just general. Can you try them on another device? Are you sure you have them plugged into the correct jack on the TV? Are the headphones and adapter fully charged or have fresh batteries? There is the possibility that they are defective. I also use a set of headphones from my TV - iLuv bluetooth headphones. I use them when I am on the treadmill.

Sylvania wireless headphones

Instructions
1
Set up the transmitter. Wireless headphones rely on a transmitter that sends audio via infrared or radio waves to your headset. Use the digital audio output (coaxial or optical), RCA outputs (red and white) or headphone jack on your TV to connect the transmitter. The connection will depend upon which outputs are available on your TV and/or the transmitter.
2
Use an RCA-to-headphone adapter. If you don't have a headphone jack on your TV and the transmitter includes only a headphone connection, connect an RCA-to-female headphone connector. This will allow you to plug the wireless transmitter into the female headphone end and then hook the RCA ends into your television's audio outputs. You may also need a 3.5 mm (mini jack)-to-1/4-inch adapter if the headphone plug on the transmitter doesn't match the television jack.

3
Set the transmitter on top of, or next to, the television. For infrared transmitters, you'll need a direct path between the headphones and the transmitter. Placing the transmitter on or near the TV will allow you to take advantage of the clear path you already have.
4
Plug in the transmitter and turn it on. Charge the headphones if necessary.
5
Turn on the headphones. Adjust the volume and settings and you're ready to watch TV.

I bought wireless headphones, how do i connect them to the TV wirelessly

Normally the wireless headphones have a transmitter that send audio via wireless to the wireless headphones.
The transmitter needs to be plugged into the headphone outlet on the TV. This will switch off the speakers on the TV and sends the audio to the wireless headphones.

I bought my father a Panasonic plasma TV but it does not have any audio out plugs on the back of the TV. Is there any way to hookup wireless headphones without audio plugs on the TV so that he doesn't...

Yes, they are out there. You can Google the net for Wireless Tv Headphones. I know what you mean. Panasonic is only a couple of mfgs that don't incorporate that in some of there models. I think that's crazy.

Brookstone wireless headphones have static along w/ tv sound

Well I just plugged into the cable box and that worked. On my old tv as well as my newer one the only audio out was an optical I had bought an optical splitter (one input for my sound bar and the other one to the optical to Rca) and an optical to rca for the headphones. This allowed me to use the headphones on all things going through the tv. For some strange reason it no longer works that way (just got my new tv this week). I bought all pieces on Amazon for a nominal cost. I'm going to doublecheck all connections again tomorrow.

Just bought the brookstone wireless tv headphones. I have a Westinghouse 40 inch lcd tv. I plugged in the rca red/white into the audio out and I don't get any sound into the headphones?

I had the same problem with Brookstone wireless headset the only solution I found was plug in the red and white connectors to your cable box it works perfectly that way. Just make sure the red cable connector from the transmitter is connected to right red input connector on the box. I have a Comcast cable box. Now I need a solution for them on my PS3?

I went to the local electronics store and bought one 2xRCA sockets-3.5mm stereo socket splitter and 2 RCA joiner/couplers and plugged that into the monitor audio plugs at the back of the TV. Works great for a total of $12.00.

Hooking up wireless headphones into the tv

u have to split the signal by having both the tv and the headphones getting the input,as you're probably only have the audio cables going to the headphones. You need an audio splitting cable (it has 4 malle connections) so you can put 2 in the tv and 2 in the headphone base.
