Question about Mitsubishi WD-52628 52" Projection HDTV

2 Answers

WD 62627 TV died with no power, reset ran but when I turned it on there was no power. Just had the E2P PCB Board replaced. The problem came back after the service people left. When I turn on the TV I get a blue screen and message saying Ant 1 has no signal and tv turns off in one minute. What I found is that the Device button will not open the Device Menu so I can select the input I want. After it was repaired we had a picture and message to reset Netcommand. I had to use the TV Menu to access Netcommand. After verifying everything was connected I still had the "no signal message" and the tv shut down again. I turned it back on and this time I got the Netcommand startup menu, I again went thru the set up process but no signal and then the power on the remote stopped working. I tried the TV but after resetting it no power so I am back to before the board was repaced. Any idea what should cause the Device problem? it seems stuck on Ant 1. Could it be software? Thank you for any ideas you may have that I can pass on to the service dept. Fynis

No lights, I get the normal green blinking when I reset but after the reset no power. Both times it died I had the Netcommand set menu on the screen. Don't know what that has to do with anything??
Somthing just isn't letting me open the Device menu or it isn't reading there is something there and not showing.

It could be the logic controller behind the front panel. In this case they should remove the front panel buttons and get inside, there maybe a connector that will disconnect and disengage the front panel button assembly. Doing so should free up the logic controller so the remote contorl will function properly.

Also ask them to update tv firmware, that may be also a cause.

Ask them to check with a replacement remote. Sometimes faulty remote can cause similar troubles.

Make sure software was in top menu in USB stick. Not ib a folder. Try reset buttons on front of TV. Could be bad e2p module. (boot firmware.)

Mitsubishi DLP WD62725 TV after powering down the timer light say blinking till unplug it then reset it to turn back on can any one help me

Good Day,
More than likey you have bad caps on DM Board.
It willcost about $450 to repair or you can do it yourself,.

On the DM PCB (part # 934C116002) check C81A2, C81A3, C81B3 and C81B4 (1000 UFD, 16V, 105C), if any are bad, replace all of them with part # 181P734030 (680 uFD, 16V,
The DM PCB is on the left hand side of the TV when you take off the back cover.

Good Luck, BIG IRISH,.

3) TV will state that is INIATIALIZING
4) press the RESET BUTTON on front of TV.
5) hopefully it's fixed.

Continuosly blinking green light and tv won't turn on.

Either bad capacitors -vented - on power supply board or bad E2P eprom board on DM board.Probably the capacitors-4-1000Ufd and 2-3300ufd.You should get expert help from reputable tv shop. Not really do it yourself fix either way.

Wd62825 blinking green light

if you have replaced the caps on the DM and the FMT and power supply. you can unplug the e2p. the set will run without it if it is the problem, however it will take 5 to 10 minutes to boot up so be patient.
if it boots try turning it on. the picture should look terrible because no
light engine data is getting to the dm. chances are it is not the e2p, in the over 300 of these chassis i have repaired maybe 10 had a bad e2p. most likely the chassis needs to be rebuilt. check out www.tv-techs.com

Have two Mitsubishi WD-62627 HDTV's. One will go all black and white after unit has been on a while; shutting it off and turning it back on will correct problem for a while. The second WD-62627 has seven...

The first one sounds like one of two bad boards. If you get color here always(component input (Y Pr Pb) then it's the terminal 2 PCB, and if not it could be FMT board. Either way you would need further checks to make sure. For the other set i would need email for instructions, because of broad range of problems!

The WD62825 has a Digital Module located on the left side of the chassis looking at it from the rear of the set. It's housed in a metal box that can slide out of its holder after removing the trim screws.
The module has its own power supply board and there are a group of 16v/1000uf caps on that board which commonly fail causing the constant flashing standby light. Further back on the module is a small board about the size of a matchbook called the E2P module. Its SMT (Surface Mount Technology) caps also commonly fail which can cause the same symptoms. Techs can tell whether the E2P has failed by simply removing it, hooking the DM back up and trying to power the set. If it powers on the picture won't be much good - but at least you can tell what's keeping it down...
Back to the caps on the pwr board. If they've failed they usually will buldge visibly on top. And ESR is almost not necessary. In any event that's the nuts and bolts on this model.
Is it a job for a layman? Yes and no - you might strongly consider a tech if you don't feel comfortable removing all the connections that the DM has with the signal board. There are about six - multi-pin - wired connections to unplug and then sliding the DM out of the unit and carefully removing the screws and latching to take the DM top cover off...
Hope this helps.

Flashing green button, won't reset or turn on

1. Check for no 8.4 volts DC at pin 3 of PC9A10 on the Power PCB, if low or missing replace PC9A10 part # 268P058020. 2. LED does not blink at plug in. Check for 3.3-volts DC at connector RF pin 3 (system reset) if low or missing suspect the reset switch S7L20 part # 432P109010 on the Control PCB. 3. LED does not stop blinking after plug in. Verify the standby supplies, 12-volts at connector KA pin 17, 6-volts at KA pin 18 and the 28-volts at KA pin 19, if the supplies are present suspect the DM PCB part # 934C067001 4. LED does not stop blinking after plug in. Check C9B01, C9B02, C9B10, and C9B11 (1000 UFD 16) on the DM PCB, if they are bad replace them with part # 181P734030 (680 UFD 16 V). 5. LED stops blinking after 70 seconds of plug in but will not power on. This model is equipped with a keyboard lock feature; this can be mistaken as a no power condition. To unlock the keyboard press and hold the "menu" button on the front panel for 10 seconds 6. LED stops blinking after 70 seconds of plug in but will not power on. Check for 3.2 volts DC at connector RF pin 4 and 5 on the Signal PCB if low suspect problems with the switches/buttons on the Control PCB part # 935D736001 7. LED stops blinking after 70 seconds of plug in but will not power on. Keyboard is not locked and key inputs at connector RF pin 4 and 5 check good suspect the E2P PCB part # 934C061001
