Ok,I dropped my PSP and evertime I turn it on,it goes to the "Sony Entertainment"thing,then goes to the moving wave background and stays that way.I have to remove the battery to turn it off.

try removing the battery then reinsert battery if does not resolve call sony at 1-800-345-7669

your psp is functioning but its just your screen that has broke, you should send it off to get fixed, or try geting a new one with guarantee if still has.

Try removing the UMD media and then turning on the PSP. This is because when there is a UMD in, It wants to at least know whats in, and most likely, your UMD drive or your UMD disc is damaged.

you have turn off the psp then take out battery then look at laser then move it to the right and put the game in then go to auto start if on turn off then go to ad hoc mode change channel to 6 reboot it

You're hard drive is fried!! Trust me, mine did the same thing. I put in a new 250gb hdd and my baby is back up and running. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Im usually pretty good with psp's.. But this is a new case. Seems your psp ISNT bricked.. which is good, but somethings happened to upset your normal screen.
Is your psp custom firmware? Try holding R when turning it on, if its custom firmware, it would boot into recovery mode.
If not, then best solution would be to have someone restore it using the unbricking method.

All things are fixable. Try going into recovery mode. This is done by Pressing and holding the R button when powering up the PSP. You then can press the brightness control button to see the firmware. This might help you reboot the PSP. If it is worst than this, you may consoder sending it back to Sony for repair, although they usually do not want to fix a Squooshed PSP. I would not tell them you Sat on it. You can call SONY support at 1-800-345-7669.

"tap" not hit.. the back of the psp, (where the game goes in on the back) and see if that works.. that will usually get the laser to read the disk.. perhaps the umd is dirty..  only tap on it "lightly" when you hear it loading.. i know that sounds stupid, but it worked for me countless of times.
