Question about Brother MFC-9420CN All-In-One Laser Printer
Here is the solution for the Transfer Roller problem from brother especially the MFC-9420CN. I found it on the Brother website.

Have you tried unplugging the unit for a period of time to clear the error? Or maybe the TR roller needs to be replaced. Depending on usage the roller might be misshapen & the sensor/s don't recognize that it's in place. Have you written to Brother about this problem? It may be a problem they've encountered before & they might have an easy solution or it may require sending it for repair.
