Question about Eureka 4700A Maxima Bagless Upright Vacuum

1 Answer

Broken piece The black plastic octagonal end of the brushroll has broken off the brushroll, so the brushroll won't stay in place. Can I get another little piece to attach onto the brushroll? Or do I have to get an entire new brushroll? And if so, do they sell replacement brushrolls? CP

You will have to replace the brush roll, part #60844-5, belt # 61120B. You should be able to get them from a repair shop, get the right one or it won't work right. You maybe able to go and order direct.

I want to see a pictute of the bottom of the vacum cause is not working

Hello! If the brushes are not spinning your belt may be broken or stretched out. I have included steps to checking and replacing your belt. There is also a link to the owner's manual attached that shows you illustrations on how to change the belt.

  • Lay the cleaner flat and flip it to expose the nozzle base. Remove the 5 screws.
  • Pull and lift the nozzle guard off.
  • Inspect the belt for damages. (nicks, cuts, broken, stretched)
  • Replace the belt with a Dirt Devil style 15 belt.
  • Slide new belt onto motor-shaft.
  • Place belt on area of brushroll with no bristles.
  • With new belt in place, pull and slide brushroll into nozzle making sure that the brushroll end caps are in the correct orientation.
  • Reattach nozzle guard.
  • Secure by aligning the 3 tabs in the base slots.
  • Replace all 5 screws.

Hope this helps!

Kirby brush bar is not turning?

Turn off your vacuum and unplug. Look at the brushroll and belt, check if the belt is broken, stuck or stretched out. If the belt is fine, check the brushroll, is it worn out (barely any bristles left) and are the ends warped or melted. Also make sure there is no fibers or hairs wrapped around the brushroll, especially the ends.

How do you change the belt

The model that you have unscrews from the top. Unscrew the cover of the base to gain access to the belt and brushroll. Remove your brushroll and the broken belt. That vacuum takes a Eureka EXT-U belt. Use your brushroll to stretch the new belt into place. Let the brushroll click back into place and secure the cover back onto the base.

The brushes on my proheat clean shot 2x are not spinning

Your belt may be broken, check that the belt is still in place.
If the belt is okay, your vacuum may be in the upright position, this vacuum the brushes only spin when the vacuum is in the declined position with the pedal indented.
If the vacuum is not in the upright position, turn off and unplug the vacuum. Check the brushroll for any clogs or foreign objects lodged in there that would trip the safety.
If no clogs or debris, remove the brushroller and check the ends, they may be melted or broken.

How to put on a belt on eureka uno bagless vacuum cleaner

Unplug the vacuum.

Turn it over so you have access to the bottom of the unit (you should see the brushroll)

At the base where the "head" attaches to the body there is a small silver button that you must depress to remove it from the body. Press the button in with a screwdriver or unsharpened pencil while pulling the "head" away from the body.

Use a #2 Philips screwdriver to remove all the large screws from the bottom. They are all the same size and type so you can collect them for safekeeping without worrying about which one goes where. There are 2 smaller screws (if I remember correctly) that are for the upright lock that you do not need to remove. They will be on the small plastic piece near where the bottom brush "head" attaches to the vacuum.

Remove the clear plastic clog cover.

Gently pry the gray cover off. This shouldn't be too difficult as the cover goes loose when you remove the screws.

Flip the gray side over and you should see the innards including the brushroll, the motor, wiring, etc. Facing the assembly like you were looking head-on at the vacuum the belt should be on the right.

Pull up the far end (non-belted end) of the brushroll and then the belted end.

The brushroll should now be free and you should check the teeth on the belted end of the brushroll to ensure none are broken.

Remove the old belt from the motor (also toothed) and replace with new belt (a second spare would be handy to keep around and this is a good opportunity to clean up the air path).

Put toothed end of belt into the belt loop and stretch it a bit to get the toothed end back into place. The belt should auto adjust but just in case you may want to manually rotate the brushroll a few times after replacing the far end (non-toothed end)

Repeat the rest of it in reverse order to put it back.

Good luck!

My kriby micron magic vac is not picking up .

There are several reasons why your Kirby isn't performing at it's best.Check the fill tube inside the cloth bag for clogs or tears in the fill tube itself. If the cloth bag is full of dirt, you have a broken or loose filltube.Check to see if the belt needs to be replaced. The belt could be streched out or broken.Next, check to see if the bristles on the brusroll are wore down. You could need a new brushroll. If the brushroll is resonably new,it could need to be adjusted down more.To adjust the brushroll.remove it from the housing and turn the ends of the brushroll to the next side, and reinstall. The ends of the brushroll are equipped with offset end,and by turning the ends and dropping it back in,you've adjusted it to the next level. The bristles should extend 1/8-1/4 inch beyond rug plate. Also if theres dirt in the cloth bag,you may have to wash bag to clean out the pores in the cloth.

Kenmore Elegance Upright Bagged Vacuum Belt Broken and Smelling

It sounds like the brushroll has caused your belt problem and will be the cause of your burning smell as well. What commonly occurs is that carpet fiber, hair, string, thread, etc got wound around the brushroll and some will get caught in the end caps which is where the bearings are.The end caps need to be removed and cleaned so that the bearings can allow the brush to rotate freely.Check that there is no melting of the end caps or the base plate where the end caps fit into the machine._Good Luck

How do i put a new belt in kirby vacuum ultimate G

You'll want to rotate the front plastic piece 270 degrees until the red triangle on the plastic piece lines up with the red triangle on the top of the nozzle. Then, rotate the nozzle release (located under the headlight assembly) until the nozzle can pull free of the main vacuum body.

Rotate the front plastic piece back to its original position and flip the nozzle upside down. There will be two clips which will rotate to release the baseplate. After removing the baseplate you should be able to remove the brushroll and take the belt off.

Put the new belt onto the brushroll, and replace the brushroll in the nozzle, making sure that the colored dot on each bearing end is the same on both sides to ensure that the brushroll sits level. then rotate the plastic front cover again, watching to make sure that the hook inside grabs the belt and pulls it upward.

Replace the baseplate, then turn the nozzle back upright and replace it on the front of the vacuum by setting it onto the axle on the front of the machine and then tilting the top of the nozzle back into place and turning the nozzle release back to lock the nozzle into place.

Rotate the plastic front piece back to its original position, and your belt should be fully installed.

I have a yellowMiele Vacuum, model=Electronic Air Clean Plus S3121. On the main body the part that the pipe/nozzle clicks into has a piece that has snapped off. I can see this by lifting the lid and the black plastic piece that is screwed to the inside of the lid has a piece chipped of it which means that when the nozzle is clicked into place it is completely loose. There is a black piece that clicks into the inside of the hoover into this broken part which is still ok so at the moment by lining up the nozzle with this loose piece I can click it into place. How can I get this piece that I need?
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure.
You can order the order or the schematics from the factory website listed below and I will provide you with another contact as well for the Miele S3121 in order for you to order or replace the part that is broken or you can refer to your local vacuum cleaner dealer in the yellow pages. 1-800-999-1360 Customer Care
