'03 BMW M3 E46 Rear Tire Problem

I have an '03 BMW M3 E46. I have the optional 19 inch wheels. Had new tires mid last year, and quickly learned that the car could not be driven safely in wet conditions. Had tires replaced 11/09, and the rear tires are completely threadbare, and I rarely even drive the car. I think I have something going on with the rear suspension or something. Any help?

You may have a couple of different things going on. It would be helpful to know if they were threadbare all the way across the tire or on the inside our outside edge.

An alignment is your first step in this. Also have your rear trailing arm bushings checked, these tend to wear our which causes the tire toe angle to change when driving.

I want a wider tire,what would be best ?? On a 03/buick century

The stock wheels are 15 x 6 inches so you are quite limited on tire choices unless you go to a larger wheel such as a 17 x 8 inch.

With the 15 x 6 inch wheels the best option is 225 - 60 -15 but this will give you a slightly lower rolling diameter than the original stock tires at 205 70 15. The 225 is a good width for that car though and 225 60 15 is an approved size on a 6 inch wheel.

What the best tires for 2007 bmw 750i

Per TireRack.com, there were four tire size options for a 2007 BMW 750i starting at 18 inch going to 21 inch wheels. You will need to know what size you car currently has and whether they are staggered (narrow front/wider rear) or the same front/rear. You will also need to know if they are "Run flat" or regular. The site has good testing articles and ratings of various brands. The Uniform Tire Quality Grade number rates tire longevity (higher number lasts longer 100= approx. 7,200 miles) and the letters are for traction (AA is best) and temperature (A is best).
Continental Extreme Contact DWS is available in your size works well as an Ultra High Performance All Season.

Will 2008 m3 wheels fit 01 e46 coupe?

Per Tire Rack, for a 2001 330ci you could use 235/35-19 front and 245/35-19 in the rear. Wider tires for the same profile increase the tire's effective diameter(think wheel well gap above the tire) and will change both the odometer and speedometer readings. Additionally, the wider tires may cause rubbing of the fender or other components while turning unless the fenders are flared out.
Caliper clearance should be checked, usually M3 uses bigger calipers than stock. While they may look cool installed, there are several disadvantages to lolwer profile tires such as harsh ride, unforgiving of potholes/speedbumps, wider width is worse for snow application (cause that floating feeling). The 2008 wheel will have the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) .
Both have a bolt pattern of 5-120.

The rear wheels on my 1998 528i look like there leaning in on a slight angle.

Not sure what car you have because the title says M3 but the question says 528. Either way, this is actually somewhat normal for this car, but the positive camber gets more pronounced as the rubber suspension bushings get older and more stretched out of shape. Positive camber makes the car corner more solidly, but it does prematurely wear out the inside edge of the rear tires.
You can improve it by replacing the bushings. You can correct it completely by putting on adjustable control arms. Any performance BMW parts website will sell you the adjustable control arms.
Using tires with softer sidewalls will help a little with the uneven wear. A good choice for a 528, but you would not want to use low performance tires on an M3.
I have a matched pair of '97 328s. One has this problem and the other does not. After pricing new bushings and adjustable control arms, I went with the softer sidewall tire option.

Would M3 rims, specifically the 19" double spoke ones, from a 2001+ model fit on my 2000 328i?

The rims will work, provided they have the same bolt pattern and wheel offset. The critical ingredient is the tire profile and width. You need to have a low enough tire profile to provide the proper amount of shock travel, also the width will determine if your tires will rub when turning.
