Hey, I got one of these phones given to me by a neighbor and she says it works fine. When I plug it into the wall phone jack and fully charge the battery, the display on the handset still will not work. The light comes on on the display, but I still cannot see and letters or numbers or anything on the LCD itself.
I'd like to tell you folks what the solution to the problem was, but I can't because you have not signed up for the Premium Assistance Plan yet. So if you really want to help people, don't try to get them to pay for an answer to a problem, and then try to convince them to post back a solution to a problem for free. You guys are about as transparent as clear air. I'll seek an answer elsewhere.

You phone is completely discharged, it should be charged while charging some kind of icon should appear on screen indicating charging is in progress. If nothing appears then your phone's charging system has gone damaged and to be taken to technician.
First unplug the phone. Remove the phone cord from both the phone and the wall. Then replug in the phone cord.
Then re-plug the phone.
The phone should be unplugged for at least 1 minute. Make sure to check the connections of the phone cord for debris/damage.
If this doesn't work then check a different phone in that telephone line it could possibly have been disconnected in the wall or under the house or even at the switch box on the corner by a neighbor having changes to his service.
hi, if the display of your phone has gone bad, try do the following. open the phone with a screw driver carefully. after opening, find were the flex of the screen is connected to the phone panel. make sure you fix the flex firm on the panel, then close the phone and switch it on. if the problem continues, you will change the flex of the phone.
this is a common problem with iDCS phones (falcon) sometimes all you have to do is unplug the phone from the wall for a minute and the reconnect it. If this does'nt work, the display is probably bad. The is no programming that will turn the display off.
