Acer x1300 - reinstalled vista and have three yellow warnings in device manager: Coprocessor, Ethernet controller, sm bus controller? How do I fix?

Easiest way would be to use a seperate computer and download the drivers onto a usb stick and use that to install the drivers. You can't download straight to your computer since your Internet won't work (Ethernet Controller isn't installed) You can also burn a CD if a USB doesn't work.

You can get the drivers from here.

I upgraded my presario f750 from vista to xp. Most of the drivers I've found except coprocessor, ethernet, and base system device. Searching for the above drivers.

Do you mean you DOWNGRADED from Vista to XP
OR upgraded from XP to Vista.
coprocessor should have been picked up by Windows build in drivers.
Your Vista drivers are here, including your chipset

AHHHHHHHHHHH I see what you mean, XP is not supported by your manufacturer.
OK i have done some detective work for you..
Your ethernet driver in XP is here http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=2093&lc=en&cc=uk&dlc=en&sw_lang=&product=3646603

Driver missing

We had the same exact problem but with a Compaq Pesario V6000 series notebook. Ours had to do with the NVidia System Management Controller but was listed in the device manager as a coprocessor. Kind of a bland description.
Solution: Downloaded and installed NVidia System Management Controller from here. Hope this helps.

Coprocessor driver for windows 7

Hi,

Try letting Windows update detect and install the coprocessor driver for you.
You may have to perform the Windows update a couple of times before the device is detected.

When you start windows update it will give you a list of software and drivers that are available, you will in the list that there are optional updates available. Check there to see if the coprocessor driver is there and install everything except for the language packs.

Hopefully this will resolve the problem for you.

Good luck.
