Question about Canon CanoScan FB630U Flatbed Scanner
I have used a Canon FB630u scanner with my laptop for 2 years. Now I get an error code saying... I have a code 19 registry error. I have uninstalled, reinstalled several times, used the fancy uninstaller from Canon, tried to fix/repair my registry, etc., etc. I have 3 registry cleaners, still no luck!!!
Can you help with how to get my registry fixed/cleaned... whatever?
I really appreciate it very much!
Franklin, TN exactly the same issues, tried most of the same stuff and more besides, no luck. Mine is a LiDE70, and the laptop is an HP nc4200 compaq. Scanner is fine on my desktop too! Maybe some law of physics that says canon scanners only work for a year or so on a laptop?
I encountered this site from where you can dowload the driver and application for your printer
and i find a small utility that i hope can be help you
Thanks in advance

Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. To fix this problem you can first try running a Troubleshooting Wizard. If that does not work, you should uninstall and then reinstall the hardware device. (Code 19) Recommended resolution
A registry problem was detected.
This can occur when more than one service is defined for a device, if there is a failure opening the service subkey, or if the driver name cannot be obtained from the service subkey. Try these options:
On the General Properties tab of the device, click Troubleshoot to start the Troubleshooting Wizard. Click Uninstall, and then click Scan for hardware changes to load a usable driver. Restart the computer in Safe Mode, and then select Last Known Good Configuration. This rolls back to the most recent successful registry configuration.
As a last resort, you can edit the registry directly. For more information, see the Registry Reference in the Microsoft Windows 2000 Server Resource Kit at the following Web site: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/windows2000serv/reskit/default.mspx?mfr=true (http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/windows2000serv/reskit/default.mspx?mfr=true)The registry information applies to Windows XP.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
