Tom Tom will not turn on. - Tomtom ONE GPS Receiver

If you turn on your tom tom gps device and the only thing that comes on is the tom tom display screen, then you need to reset it first. To reset it, what you have to do is to hold down the power on/off button for about 15 seconds and that will reset your tom tom, if it does the same, then you have to reinstall the tom tom application on it.
To reinstall its software, you connect it to a computer then it will detect the device, then the latest software downloads will come up, download it on to your gps, now when you plug it into your car and turn it on, it will get passed the tom tom display screen and start up normally.

2- Turn off the bluetooth device the tom tom is a bluetooth device and the two of them are probably arguing the tom tom and your actual bluetooth.
3- You have to put the tom tom in discover mode and let the PHONE find the tom tom then the tom tom should find the phone, once this happens you enter the code and tell the phone that this is a trusted device. The same thing that was done with your actual bluetooth device. Hope this helps

There is a small hole on the tomtom device base. Inside it there is a reset button.
Press it and turn device on.
Try to turn it on while connected to the electricity, if it is a battery problem it should work
If it doesn't work I suggest you to bring it to a tomtom support center.

Try resetting the Tom Tom.

To do this: Stick the end of a paperclip into the reset hole in the bottom of the receiver. See your manual for the details on this.

This fault is often caused by unplugging the receiver from the navigator before turning the navigator off.

Please connect your tom tom to the power adapter first.Get a paper clip and press the reset button under the SD card slot of your tom tom.Reset button is a very small small hole at the back near the sd card slot.Keep pressing the reset button for 2mins and also press the power button till the light comes on.

This should fix the issue.Let me know if you need any more help.

We have several problems with our Tom Tom One XLS.
1st problem in the town we live in Russell Springs, Ky. 42642 we have a Big Kmart,Kroger Grocery store, Kroger Gas station,Rite-Aide Pharmacy,McDonalds and several other businesses all in Northridge Shopping Center basic address for the area would be:
Northridge Shopping Center
Hwy S 127
Russell Springs Ky. 42642
we can put exact address and business name and the only one Tom Tom can find is Rite-Aide Pharmacy. This businesses have been there for 10 - 20 years why can Tom Tom not find them.
We have a Keyvillage Shopping Center and it can locate that one. We would like this problem solved it is annoying.
2nd problem Tom tom calls a 45 degree curve a turn.what is up with that.
3rd problem is in other town s in ky and other states tom tom will take u to the old building instead of the new location why is that.
4th problem Tom Tom sometimes fails to tell you to turn when its to late to turn at the right turn another words Tom Tom waits till you get right on the road or just past it then tells you to turn. Why isw that?and we update Tom Tom at least 2 Times aweek if not 3. please help us in a few months we r fixing to take a long trip we r both retired and we definintly don't need these problems then.
