IT SEEMS THAT WHENEVER IT FEELS LIKE IT THE SCREEN WILL FREEZE UP, OR IT WILL ALSO AT TIMES JUST START GOING ALL CRAZY AND MAKING THIS REALLY LOUD SCREECHING NOISE. I HAVE NEVER ENCOUNTERED ANYTHING LIKE THIS LAPTOP IS DOING!! OH- AND ALSO, I BOUGHT IT FOR $50.00 AT A FLEE MARKET AND IT IS WAY OBVIOUS THAT SOMEBODY HAS TAKEN IT ALL APART. THE BOTTOM OF THE SCREEN IS NOT COMPLETELY SNAPPED BACK RIGHT AND THERE ARE 3 DIFFERENT SCREWS MISSING FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE COMPUTER. ANY SUGGESTIONS ON WHERE I MIGHT BE ABLE TO START TROUBLESHOOTING AND TRYING TO FIX THIS PROBLEM??

The screeching noise will be a fan that is trying to run and is rubbing. If it were my laptop, i would take it apart carefully and make sure everything is screwed into the correct locations. You can buy small screws from a lot of electrical retailers or places like Maplin or RS in the UK, i dont know anywhere else in the world.

Sorry can't be more help, it might be that it is over heating, so taking it apart and fixing the position of the fan would most likely help. Then while it is apart, make sure everything is screwed in too.

Hi, you have a static problem. i recommend that you remove all covers and try if the problem is still here. next step you should check whether all grounding parts/metal/ are interconnected to allow proper grounding.
you should check near the processpr because most static noise occurs near the processors and heatsink.

Loud humming noise coming from 360

The loud humming noise is usually the DVD drive. It is very fast but is very loud. If you have the NXE dashboard you can download games to you Xbox 360 to run them from the hard drive (you will still need to put in the disk for copy protection issues). The Xbox should make less noise then. Try to mount the Xbox 360 on a hard surface which is in contact with a soft floor to reduce the noise travelling through your home.
If it is making a loud noise while there is no disk in the drive then take the console to a Microsoft dealer whenever you can to have them take a look at it.
