Question about Insignia IS 20" TV040919 TV

2 Answers

More channels my husband received this 2005 insignia tv from work as they no longer had a use for it. The used it for demos. There was no book with this and I can't figure out how to add channels. It says skip beside each one that we can get and that is 3 5 8 10 12 and that's all. How do I reprogram this to add all channels that I want?

Yes, I have the same problem. I programmed the channels for "Air" about 8 months ago, and now have cable, and I am unable to program in the new channels. I use "Auto Search" but it reverts to the original channels. I can select them manually, but not in a row.

No, I have done this, but the problem seems to be that the tuner is corrupted- I do the Auto Search, but it STILL reverts to the channels that were set before. The "Skip" and "Add" functions do not work, either. I need to be able to get into the service technician menu and change it there.

Go into the menu to the "Search" tab, channel down until you are on "auto search" then press "volume up"

this will automatically add channels you can get, you can manually change skip settings there too if you want to not see a channel you get or for some reason add a channel you don't get etc.

you have to connect the tv tuner directly to the coax cable coming in. The receiver will not tune tv channels. You can then connect the tv to the receiver via optical cable

I CAN ONLY RECEIVE 2 OR 3 RADIO CHANNELS ON MY INSIGNIA RECEIVER

Radio tuners receiving AM and FM channels/broadcast MUST have some sort of antenna connection. For local channels a paper clip will work, but for more distant channels, use either a better inside antenna or purchase a outside antenna as needed.

INSIGNIA TV WITH ILIVE BAR. 1 SIDE WORKS

Try swapping your cables from the sound-bar to the TV. If the sound still only plays through one channel but the channel has changed from right to left or vice-versa, then you have a bad cable.

If the performance is the same, connect a different device using the same cables to see if it's the sound bar input or the TV output.

Once you know where the problem is (the sound bar, the TV, or the cables) you'll know what unit needs repair or replacement.

It is entirely possible that a solder joint for the sound-bar has come loose. A soldering pen would easilly fix this if it's a bad joint/connection.

Hope this helps!

Where to get remote codes for Comcast?

there are a couple of ways to go about it... you can either do a code search with the remote by pressing the tv button then hold down the setup button until the tv button blinks twice. Then press 991 the tv light will blink again then press 1 and then power. then you would press the channel up button until the tv turns off. Then press set up and that will lock in the code. If you pass the code and the tv will not power back on through the remote repeat the same process but press the oppisite channel direction. The other option is search google for your tv code.

Since you are getting the signal from the satellite, leave the satellite receiver ON and press input on the TV buttons until you get the signal back, wait 2 seconds after pressing the input button. Make sure the TV is on channel 3 if you are using the antenna input.
Let me know if you need further assistance.

Lost remote want to get to input channels using side buttons on TV

Try using the manual buttons and keep pressing channel down until you see the lowest station you receive, then go slowly.
Maybe Insignia put the inputs into the channel search automatically.
