When you measure a refrigerator for height, do you measure from the floor to the top or do you measure from the base of the refrigerator to the top..I am limited bc of a cabinet

On space: Measure from floor to the cabinet at its lowest part, usually the front face frame of cabinet is lower than bottom of cabinet. Ideally you want a little space between fridge and cabinet. Knowing the height of space, measure refrigerators that are less than that measurement when you measure them from floor to top of fridge including hinge if it is higher than top.

Height adjust

The rollers are fixed. The feet are threaded to adjust for level. If you need extra height, cut some board the right length to fit from the front roller to the wall behind and run the fridge on to it.

The freezer door is about 1/4" lower than the frig door. Is there an adjustment that can be made to the freezer door to raise the height?

Yes, you will have to remove the door and bend the hinges, is it possible that your door cam has worn down causing the door to drop?

How do we adjust the door height on our GE Profile Side by Side frig, Model has slipped down and the trim kit keeps rubbing on the lower edge where the door hinges....????

Hello, Take the cover off the top hinge and then remove the top hinge and the door, the problem may be a worn hinge cam, if it is replace it. If the hinge is loose tighten the bolts. Once the door is off you will see how the lower hinge can be adjusted. Hope this helps! Mike

Find common dimensions of refrigerators, height, width, depth

There's a zillion makes and models of refrigerators with new one's coming on the maket all the time.
There is no standard fridge manufacturers must follow.
When I find a bad machine, and the customer want's to replace with new, I advise them to take the width and height of their opening before shopping, or be willing to remodel.
Best advice I can give you is plan the refrigerator opening for the worse case scenario on all your rentals.
As a general rule, refrigerators are becoming larger, and probably will continue that trend.

The fridge is unlevel front to back. The front is relatively too high. How do I level the beast?

The front should be a "little" higher than the back, in order that the doors will close softly when pushed past a certain point, and to assist in sealing the door to the cabinet. There is a levelling mechanism on the front rollers, turning a screw or bolt head clockwise will raise the rollers and counterclockwise will lower the rollers. If no rollers, then post type feet that screw in and out for height. Most have rollers in front and these can be adjusted with the screw or bolt that you can see in the front behind the lower cabinet cover. It should lift and pull straight out to remove, and you will then see the adjustment bolts or screws. You should be about half a bubble out of true level for the doors to seal well and close softly.

Rv refrigator ice maker repair

You have to remove the frig..I just replaced my own hose. 4 screws in front..2 on bottom and 2 on top under the switch panel..2 in the rear on each corner.. disconnect the gas line (turn off the gas first) disconnect the power cord and water line...2 screwdrivers (one on each side) in back where you removed the screws. put them under the rails and push to start the removal.I used blocks of 2x4's laid in front of the frig stacked to the height of the bottom of the frig and then a piece of plywood. this will allow you to slide it out at the same level (it is very heavy). you will have to remove the tape that is around the old hose to save the wire that is inside. the water outlet is on top of the frig. repace the hose with normal ice maker plastic tubing from home depot and rewrap the tube and wire with electrical tape.put the frig back in in reverse...hope this helps

Frig not cold

If nothing i running and the light is on then this means that the thermostat is usually the problem. This is a easy fix and you dont need to buy a new refrigerator. However if you do be careful what you buy, Not allrefrigerators can be built in to a cabinet. Thermostat normally cost between 25 to 60 dollars depending on the model you have.
